The carnivore keto diet probably isn`t the only solution. There are numerous studies done on antioxidants from plants, both as natural foods and as diet supplements. Kale is mentioned here, not the easiest vegetable to eat, but likely not an useless food. Plant based polyphenols, and flavanoids are proven in double blind tests to strengthen immune system in various ways These substances fuel the immune system.. Some of these antioxidants needs fat to be absorbed by the digestive system and can remain unabsorbed in some diets. There is an array of factors from gut health, microbiome, an individuals exposure to antibiotics, viruses, etc. that interferes with the body`s metabolism. Humans can adapt to a wide variations of foods, what is ideal in one situation, like a keto diet, isn`t always what works best. One group of people I am thinking of is top athletes current and former, they generally live on regular diet, not far from the official diet guidlelines. Italian tour de France competitors, tend to eat a lot of pasta, in northern European countries they often rely on bread. These athletes have stayed healthy into old age, with a varied diet. That said, I am not arguing against any of these diets, but this is youtube and the echo chamber of social media, and I am worried we just go for a decade of vegan enthusiasm to the opposite scale of things.

God damn it, we have so many contradicting each other channels on yt that I just cannot figure out whats up. I noticed that avoiding shitty carbs, like bread i.e., reduces inflamation in my body. I eat a lot of vegetables everyday, most of my calories come from meat, usually beef, second by size of calories, would come nuts and seeds, every other day I will have some berries, sometimes a fruit. A bit of dark chocolate and cocao as a beverage everyday. My weight is stable, it doesnt matter how much I eat, unless I have something high in carbs, lets say a pizza, in that case visceral fat level jumps within a day by 1%, which is crazy.

She has also looked into some of the studies that trumpet the supposed benefits of so-called "phytonutrients" & explains why they're not all they're cracked up to be. She also explains why some scientists come to such erroneous conclusions: "believing is seeing". You can find videos of her presentations at conferences & she has a website called Diagnosis Diet.

@@JYAN2852 Thought exactly that. It seems very important for me to not go beyond rare on the beef. Though I think cooking might not destroy all the vitamin C. Meaning, if you don't want to eat liver raw it might still deliver some Vitamin C if you don't overcook it.

However, glutamine stays up with uncooked meat. Heat denatures it, as per Dr. Anthony Chaffee. For cancer patients like myself, cooking the meats to well done is better for us. 🙂🥩
@JYAN2852
@JYAN2852 4 күн бұрын
@lf7065 I don't disagree. However, there are pros and cons to fully cooking. Heat also causes proteins to misfold as well as turn into AGE's and heterocyclic amines. L-Glutamine is not an essential amino acid. It is something we can produce from other aminos as well as convert from L-Glutamate. L-glutamine is also the most abundant amino in our bodies. Thus why cancer can thrive on Glutamine even if we fast and upregule ketosis. But in regards to C, heat does destroy it along with other heat sensitive micros, such as B vitamins. Humans is the only species that cook our foods. I am not recommending eating raw but need to weigh out risks and benefits

He must be right. I have been eating so many berries, carrots, etc. to heal myself and for all the specific benefits. E.g. eat avocado to lower water retention. Some things work. But in general, I feel like I have just wasted tons of money on fruit and vegetables all my life. They don't even taste good anymore. Grapes used to be thick and veiny with a tropical flavor, for example. They were the first fruit to be called healing. But now it is all sprayed. So even if they were healthy, the pesticides will give you chronic illness like nervous conditions.

Another reason we don't require as much vitamin C & E is because the main job of vitamin C and E is to be antioxidants. Where do we get oxidant froms? Plants and carbs. Plants need high levels of vitamin C and E because their Enzyme Rubisco, which is part of a plant's calvin cycle, produces a bunch of reactive oxygen species (ROS)! Plants are litterally killing themselves when they try to photosynthesize. As humans, glucose oxidation (converting glucose into ATP) also produce more ROS than fatty acid oxidation! Don't quote me but I think it's 16x more ROS. Not only do we require less antioxidants (vitamin C) because we're not eating plant toxins, we're also not producing ROS when burning energy.

Back then cheap and free buffets were standard and they all had prime ribs and crabs even sometimes for lunch, I started to heal after a 4 day Vegas trip where I was eating Buffets 3 times a day, So I would go back every 4 months and do the same and my 40s were amazing. No health problems. No pharma drugs. No colds, No sickness. Then the pandemic hit and the buffets closed and I kind of forgot that it was the meats that were healing me. Just starting to heal again on carnivore and eating as much animal protein throughout the day until satiety. Starting to get my ankle and joint pain finally resolved.

I love Richard's Electrolytes from Keto-Pro they are the only electrolytes i feel my best on with Carnivore, you got to get them! Lee has a link in the description to the Keto-Pro shop! On the subject of vitamin c, glucose and vit c compete for the same receptors so if your eating a high or even a diet with carbs, the amount of vit c you need is actually more then if you were to get it from meat alone.

By telling us what is happening at a molecular level, and how our body's biological systems operate, helps us UNDERSTAND, rather than just being TOLD an answer. Knowledge is power so keep it coming!

The reason why macrophages & damaged LDL particle grow into a "foam cell" is high insulin. High insulin prevents the immune systems, including monocytes/macrophages to funtion properly, it make these "overactive" but less effective at the same time. If you lower your insulin by eating a proper human diet or even by fasting the immune system will start to function properly (and quickly enough) to clean all those damaged LDL particles and more and to reverse the plaque buildup...

It's all so confusing. You have some doctor's and nutritionists tell you that red meat or meat in general is inflammatory and therefore bad for you. Others say fruits, vegetables, and grains are bad for you for the same reason. The best thing we can do is look at the diets our bodies are best adapted to, which is a balanced diet. Our ancestors, going back to at least a million years were hunter-gatherers (not just hunters, not just gatherers). Our bodies are adapted to a balanced diet of meat, eggs, dairy, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, etc. Stay away from (or at least limit) ultra-processed foods.

Healthy weight, healthy skin, healthy teeth, healthy heart, healthy blood sugar numbers, no medications, good mental health, etc. Again, why mess with something if it is working for me? That's why I'm not into fad diets. They may work for some folks, but I don't need to go on them. I try to follow the intent and lead of nature. Our ancestors' bodies evolved on a balanced diet.

I like Richard Smith a lot, but his story about how damaged LDL gets through arterial endothelium - foam cell - then ath. plaque - no, I don't think this is how it works. Dr. Malcolm Kendrick tells a better story. High glucose, high blood pressure, toxins from smoking and air pollution, waste products made by certain bacterial infections (sepsis, a certain gum disease are two) - these erode the glycocalyx. When they erode it enough and overwhelm our ability to heal or keep up with this damage, the arterial endothelium can get "bald" patches. Clots happen there. They get covered quickly by a new endothelial layer, and now the macrophages process the clot. Blood cells have more cholesterol than any other cells - this cholesterol is left behind, when the macrophages eventually give up and disintegrate. It's not from LDL, damaged or not. It's from trapped clots, clots trapped in arterial walls. Check out Kendrick - pls tell Richard to investigate Kendrick. "The Cloth Thickens" is his book - he's also interviewed by Ivor Cummins and others here on YT.

You need salt for the iodine . You need fluoride filtered water . You need fish oil AND sunshine . You need WHOLE foods in balance . You dont need ( regular ongoing ) meds or supplements unless its food medicine or natural supplements . Omega 3 needs balancing with omega 6 too much grain fed meat up to 20 times more omega 6 than omega 3 ! People eat way to much grain and or grain fed meat , we need GRASS OR PASTURE raised beef , and fresh as possible fish and free range eggs . Too much grain in average diet which leads to widespread inflammation including arthritis . Sugar is poison consumed in average diet uk 20 teaspoons a day in USA 30 teaspoons a day . Regular sugar overdosing leads to Insulin Resistance which rurns downstream into heart disease stroke cancer diabetes etc .
