Very concise. Last accounts I used were manual. Obviously everything all on line nowadays. Might seem a stupid question but I have to ask. When it says "import"/"export" does that mean your customers/suppliers who also use xero send/receive invoices/bills directly through the cloud to your bank? Looking to go back to pt work after 25years out. Thanks

If I setup multiple tax components, the GST part goes to sales tax ledger by default but the other tax does not reflect in trial balance as payable ? Do you know how to link a specific ledger account when using multiple tax components ?

Regarding the importing the bank statement, do it really needs to input also even the least amount, like VAT charges? or only the spend&received money. Thanks

Thank you for this, I've recently started using Xero. I've watched a few videos to get some basics but im struggling with a specific payment that i need to reconcile. For example: Xero matches payments into the account with the invoice created. My challenge is here:-example : I have an amount that came into our bank account for 4000 however there are a total of 3 invoices for a specific customer which all totals around 3600 (Less than paid amount). When i try to match it blurs out the reconcile button because its not matching. How do i match the payment to invoices in this case? (I understand a credit amount will show on the customer statement. Thank you for your help.

Inventory is a system controlled account so it cannot be edited. But don't worry, it will appear under current assets in your balance sheet report 😉

Hi, I am using MYOB now. MYOB allows me to dedicate what each accounts person can access and view. Eg, I want to let account A enter pertaining to Expense and account person to just enter Sales, quotation. can I do tthat on Xero. Can I also allow who has not accessed to see P&L report? Can I custom different dashboards for different account persons to view? thanks
