Hello! This is just a quick update on my NUVO INT 150 Reef Tank Build Week 2

I agree with you on the battery back. Up we upgraded to an ego generator for are systems of power to run the take three days without power with 7500 kW batteries best upgrade and piece of mind I have ever spent on my tanks

This is such a great build - looking forward to hearing more. I am so scared too - For my build I was planning on getting the Elos 120XL - which is pretty much the same dims I think but 80cm front to back (instead of 90). But now I am going to look into this tank too as the EU distributer is only a couple of hours away. The plumbing scares me. An advantage of this is tank for me is the eurobracing - I don't want splashes down the back / side - well my wife hates water on the floor. I am thinking of running the sump front to back - I think it will mean more space / better access but we will see. In Europe the Neptunes stuff is not updated. I want to see if Coral Vue brings out their controllers that work with Ecotech. But in any even I have heard of people having major issues because everything goes through Apex. I think it's smart to run things separately. Right now I am hoping Seneye brings out their new version (Coral) with Alk monitoring. Then I will run that and make adjustments to my dosers. The Seneye alerts will alert me with temp and I will run a specialized temp controller. On the return pump I want to control it too. I am hoping Mobius is out to control an M2 but maybe my preference is the Sicce DC pumps which come with a controller. For battery backup fish-street sells a battery (smaller than ecotech) that works with everything. For the lighting I am doing the Stellar T5 Hybrid and I will add a LED Bar to give more light at the back. Anyhow so stoked I found this ;)

As Far as best customer service for any pump company, no one, I mean NO ONE can beat tunze! Roger is the best. I’ve had every pump on the market, including red dragon. Pumps are subjective as far as people’s preference for performance, reliability and visual appeal. But to me, Tunze is top 3 as far as performance, visual appeal and reliability, but I can say from experience, customer service wise, tunze is #1!!!! Reliability wise #1, I still have a tunze 6200 that runs like brand new! It’s 20 years old! Visual appeal, ahhhhhh that’s totally subjective LOL! Everyone I’ve known for past 20 years of reefing who ran tunze, never once did I hear a bad experience with customer service. There may be someone out there I don’t know about, but never heard a bad experience nor could I find a bad review written online anywhere about Roger’s customer service.

You didn't talk about how you have your filter roller plumbed. I notice you have the filter roller next to the filter sock compartment. Did you cut out the side of the filter sock compartment so that you could connect the drain pipe going into the filter sock compartment into the filter roller inlet?

If you wanted a better return pump with remote connection and didn't want to buy a Neptune you should have stayed with Sicce. The SDC pumps are amazing.

Thanks for the video! I've been debating using the EXT vs the INT versions from IM. Helpful to see the way the drains and backwall looks on the INT. Quick Question however....Why the 4 heaters?

marinecollectors.com BRS recommends them pretty highly. This will be the first time ordering from them for me.

I have interest in one of these tanks and had a couple questions. Would you say the overall drain noise is silent with your mods? Would you buy it again given the issues you had? Is it possible to remove the side panel to make removal of the sump easier considering the center brace?

The tank is capable of being silent. But it depends mostly on your setup and application. I would say it's not silent out of the box but it is not marketed as a complete system ether. I don't think the side panels are removable but front center brace could be removed. However, doing so may cause damage so I wouldn't recommend this while the tank is full of water. Overall I would say the tank is good but the stand is a bit of a let down. It should really have legs that can be adjusted to aid in leveling and side panels that are removable.
