NUX B-7PSM Sound Test and Review

PLEASE READ... First of all, you'll need headphones to hear this properly. Also, many people are assuming that I am using this device to transmit sound from my guitar to somewhere else. This is not the case. This is the actual routing.
Bass-guitar pedals-NUX transmits audio from headphone jack on guitar pedal to audio interface.

Is this the correct application? This unit is an in ear monitor transmit. I use it weekly from stage IEM mixer to my ears. For instruments I believe you use a different spec unit

​@@lumurumbawell, you can take a look at a few comments, they explain it very well, but he's using the wrong device for the task and saying it doesn't work. This is meant to be feed with a mix and with phones, not plugged directly to the instrument, other devices do that way more efficiently because they're desingned for it.

Hey! Could try this routing? Bass - guitar pedal - mixer aux or monitor out, and from there you use the NUX transmitter. I understand that is how it should work , I'm intrested in buying it but all the comments on amazon turn me down, but now I see maybe people tried connecting it in a different way than how I would use it

It's a shame the people in the comments don't understand that you're recording the output of the receiver so we can hear what it sounds like, and not using it as an instrument wireless. For anyone confused, 3:53 Re-watch this a few times and perhaps you'll understand eventually. I for one appreciate the video though dude, I was looking into getting one but I'll think I'll keep a look out for something else

This can only proove it might not be useful for certain pedal outputs or bass instrument but the device is made for in ear monitoring so levels, input output decibels are adjusted accordingly, you can’t expect something to work at optimum level if you are not using it for intendent use. You should correct your title and description..

this is IN EAR MONITOR... duuhh... i have one & it works on me, very helpful, clear no latency. I wouldn't be surprised if you only have 7 subscribers.

I really wanted you to be wrong, but unfortunately you are right. This equipment distorts the sound. I connected it to the headphone output of my Boss RC-600. I tested it on three different sets of headphones (KZ, Behringer, Bayerdynamic). Each time I hear some kind of distortion. I'm sending it back to the store. Cheers.

Try the NUX C-5RC. It’s designed for instruments. The one that you’re using in the video is used for in ear monitoring. Both will wirelessly transmit sound, but they are tuned differently for the application. And no, I don’t work for NUX 😊

Maybe you misunderstood. The NUX C-5RC is to transmit signal from the guitar to the pedals/amp. I used the B-7PSM to transmit audio out from a mixer or other source to my in-ear headphones. Both music and instruments sounded poor. There are many confirmations in Amazon reviews as well. I have updated the description to explain the routing. Cheers

Honestly i cannot hear a real difference between cable and wireless. Maybe 5% more on the edge. Doing a blind test could not tell which is which. I buy one now snd test it myself

Okay i have a unit now and understand your experience. The Sound is absolutely awesome, no frequencies beeing dropped but unfortunately it is noisy and it seems to distort a bit in the uppper fr. I found even worse results with guitar. But the crazy thing is i plugged the transmitter into my darkglass element headphone amp and when i play music from my phone via aux it is stlk noisy but no distortion what so ever. Very clean Audio playing and it sounds great. I will test it with a full mix soon to see if the distortion is audible in a mix. Then i will keep it. Otherwise most likely not

Great video! I almost bought this myself because on paper it seemed to be just perfect. Luckily I did my research and found about horrible audio quality and decided to go for Xvive U4. Wireless 5,8 GHz guitar system that Nux makes is really killer, too bad that this one sucks.

Hello, i came here to post a small review of these as a producer/Dj/technician They sound great, WAAAAY better than the u-vive, perhaps they don't work good in mono, one will never get perfect sound from wireless, that's why cables are still used. But for those who want a solid kit, get them!
