These sound good because they process at 32bit 48k, other Modelers in this price range operate at like 24bit 41k (so far). DO NOT get any similar Modeler without IR, Drums and Looper capabilities, some are missing one or more of these important features.

In theory, you are right. But it's all too easy to make up theories without having evidence for it. Guitar tone isn't really about pristine sound quality, unlike hi-fi systems. Ask any tube amp builder if you don't believe me.

I have a Harley Benton tube 5, it could be a good idea to put the Nux mg 300 into the input? I mean, without the cab and amp simulation, only the effects.

If you plug it in the clean channel of your amp, it could be a good option. I have this pedalboard and its so good, i use it with a Boss Katana Mini, and sounds pretty good. Also it have a lot of fx, and the exp pedal feels so nice. It is a very nice option for the price. (Sorry for my low quality english 😓)

Where NUX shines is in Custom IRs. For some reason it acts like a Kemper when using custom IRs and one of the best choices for budget home recording in my opinion.

I didn't like a lot of the factory presets. But it is quite easy to start with a sound and then tweak it to taste. I found the compressor not really good sounding. The overdrives are top, as well as reverb, delay and mod. The wah could be better though. The build quality could be better. Be careful with the DC plug, the input sits directely on the board and may get lose easily. After firmware upgrade don't forget to calibrate the pedal.

Hello, please I need help, I just bought the Nux mg-300 and after installing the drivers and getting ready to install the nux software (Quick tone), when it asks me to connect the multi-effects to the computer I do it, but it does nothing It seems not to recognize it and the installation process does not pass, so I cannot install the quick tone or use the mg-300 on my computer. Can you please tell me that I am missing? Do I have to install the firmware first? Is a usb cable needed with specific characteristics?.Thanks

For sound quality, definitely. For build quality and pro features like balanced output and having plenty of stomp switches to work things in realtime on stage, no, but who cares about build quality at this price, and if you don't need the fancy extra features why pay for them? Seems like a cool little unit for home use.

Looks like he made his own presets and named them. When he changes presets you can see the preset name on the screen with Bonedo in there.

Master is overall volume level, level is patch level. You use it to match the various sounds so you dont get wild volume swings.

Very good guy. However, I have a question. Is this NUX Jazz JZ Chorus the same one that comes with the NUX mini go loader??? I only play a clean sound with little reverb The Mini Pulse is very good and also has acoustic IRs, but the MG has beats, a noise looper and a compressor. I don't know if the NUX 300 has Ambience. I gotta tell ya, I've had this thing for a few days and the presets that it comes with are just horrible. Everything sounds like it's coming through a tunnel with wild volume fluctuations? Some of the presets sound like a engineer who had no idea how to set them? I have painstakingly set some of my own patches but to tell you the truth I am underwhelmed to say the least. A lingering problem is there seems to be a 2K brittleness that the little included EQ pedal just can't deal with. (yeah yeah I know what I'm doing and I know what I want to hear) PS To use the editor you have to have some weird ass format USB cable that it does not come with and I doubt you've got one hanging around.

Too shame they abandoned updates for the MG300, which I think it's a huge mistake. It lead people suspect that the same will quickly happen to the newer MGs. Even the Mighty Plug Pro has greater flexibility and more effects than MG300. It's ridiculous. I really miss the effects that Mighty Plug Pro, MG400 and MG30 have. Because of that, I'm done with MG300, actually with NUX. Too shame!

Good mate. One on-off switch would have been cool.... I dont understand this : why do manufacturers simulate hummmmmm buzzzzzzzzz on the high gain amps ? That makes no sense.... Its not real amps, so they should simulate only the good parts of the tones.
