I listen to lots of 70/80's music genres, and when I play I prefer these 2 types of tones; Fender clean and Fender OD. Now I have 3 multi fx units, and I keep changing my mind as to which one I prefer; Mooer GE200, Nux300 & Fender Mustang Micro, the Nux being my less preferred... So I set up the above Mayer clean settings on my Nux and recorded a simple clean rhythm onto a simple 4/4 drum beat in Mixcraft DAW, and then recording the same with the other 2 untis, after which I did the same again for an OD lead track using the Mayer OD setup in the video and used all 5 pickup positions on my Strat... And to my surprise the Nux had easily the best clean tone hands down, I had different findings for the OD lead tone depending on the pu position but mostly found the Nux to be better which really surprised me ... That said as a 70's fan the wah is much better on the GE200 and the Nux vibe to me is unusable, but in any case after my test I find the Nux better overall... anyway thanks for sharing these great settings which are now saved on my unit!!!

@@DirectRecordingGuitar I suppose I could, I'm not a skilled player, and even less of a video expert so it may take me a while to sort out and I'd need to dial in a close as possible tone on the Ge200 and preferably if possible using the exact same guitar sound, maybe by recording onto a looper although that might not work with the Micro, I'll give it a shot, but it won't be straight away

Yes Pablo. If the amp modeler really does have the sound characteristics of the real amps it is a great way to do this research. Another way to find your own personal sound is to discover the equipment used in songs by other artists that you like guitar sounds. From these sounds you can reach your sounds. Not to mention that each guitarist's hand is unique. Each individual will sound different, even if they are using the same guitar and the same amp. It is like the fingerprint.

Fala André. Pelo que li no manual é sim. As simulações de preamp e os IRs são muito bons, eu nem sinto a necessidade de IRs externos (podemos instalar externos de até 48kHz nela). E roda leve, leve como interface de áudio. Eu nunca tive nenhuma das pedaleiras da Mooer em mãos, tenho apenas pedais, micropreamps e o Radar, não tenho como dar opinião sobre elas. Mas a Mg300 é ótima. Já estou até interessado na nova MG30 que vem com dois processadores.

A pedaleira já vem com alguns IR'S de fábrica, certo? No caso de adicionar IR's de terceiros teria que desativar o IR de fábrica, usaria os dois ao mesmo tempo, ou teria que testar? Outra dívida, os IR's de terceiros seria referente a amps, gabinetes e/ou pedais?

Hola! Descargue e instale el driver MG300 desde el sitio web de Nux, instálelo en su computadora para que el MG300 sea reconocido como una interfaz. Utilice el cable USB que viene con el MG300. What would you say about the capabilities Boss Gt1 vs This affordable processor?

I love Boss, since my old Me8 in the late 90s, my Boss pedals and I still love my Gt100... But the Impulse Response from Mg300 makes everything more realistic and I love that too. I believe that the new Gt1000core and Gt1000 are great for 2021 as they are updated with the feature of IRs. However, Mg300 is much cheaper, works very well as an audio interface. I'm really enjoying the work that Nux has been doing. The newer Nux MG30 has two processors.

@@robertclarkguitar I have never tested any of Mooer's multi-effects. I have some Mooer pedals, micropreamps and Radar here. These are equipments that I like and use a lot in my works, but I still haven't had the opportunity to have any Mooer multi-effect in my hands to have an opinion.

As for the sound, I prefer the MG300 as I can load my favorite IR. For me this is very important as I use this specific IR for all my personal presets. You didn't ask but would like to add that the G3n/G3xn's controllability is better for live shows.

I used it a lot live when it was released. I liked the sounds of the MG300 so much that I switched to the MG30 and this has become my main multi-effects so far (March 2023). MG-400 should be great too! Kind of turbocharged Mg300. I always send the signal directly to the mixer/PA system and distribute it to the stage's audio monitors. Hi bro... If the multi-effect has the audio interface function, and if that function works well, I don't think it's necessary to use an external interface. I can make a Mg300 vs M-Audio M-Track Duo. Would you like it? Both are direct recordings to the computer. There is no real amp, there are amp simulations.
