A Top Shelf Modeler for Live.
Perfect for live applications, the TRIDENT offers plenty of I/O options. The SEND / RETURN effect loop for external effects, 2 balanced XLR outputs to the PA system, PHONES output for monitoring, EXP. PEDAL input for adding an expression pedal, MASTER VOL pot, and MIDI IN / OUT.
A Powerful Studio Device.
The TRIDENT is also a powerful studio device, a perfect USB-C Audio Interface for guitar. You can download Trident Editor™ from the product page to edit patches, and setup the USB routing. Record your TRIDENT tracks to your favorite DAW or use it as a re-amp device to breathe new life into your previously recorded audio tracks. Caution!! In order to offer you the best dynamic range of USB Streaming, the TRIDENT doesn’t control the PC’s system playback volume. When using the TRIDENT as a USB audio interface, remember to adjust your PC’s playback volume from the “minimum” to the desired volume. Take care of your ears.

The NUX-MG30 is the best piece of gear I've ever bought, and it only cost me 200 bucks. Very stoked for this one.

As a Helix and Fractal owner - this is SO inpressive, especially at its price point ($449 retail)!

Thank you for the demo! There are actually relatively few good ones for this unit. Also, your arrangement of PJ is awesome!

I am a very happy Cerberus user and this Trident could have been a great successor but I still cannot feel these digital drive/distortion sounds. They are so fake. The Cerberus has analogue drives. So I hope they'll release the Cerberus Plus that combines the added features to the analog drives.

Así es, le han añadido IR’s y modelado de amplificadores, han independizado la reverb del delay pero…ha perdido lo mejor de la Cerberus, su sección analógica. A mi tampoco me convence. Yo habría ampliado la Cerberus añadiéndole un compresor, independizando la Reverb del Delay y listo.😊

Agreed, but I'm still not a huge fan of those Cerberus drives. They're awfully dark. I have to use an EQ pedal in the loop to deal with the "mud" from those drive/distortion circuits. Digital drives can be ok. Some are very harsh in the top end. .

There's a slight harshness in the top end i can't quite get over. Maybe not a deal breaker, but a concern nonetheless.

Mike ditto above. 1st demo to really show what this unit can do. How good/close are the amp & pedal sims to the real things (sounded pretty good to my ears)? Masterful playing

Slick demo. No overexplaining what an effect or a cab is like other reviews *eye roll*. Can you make complex presets in the editor and save/recall them on the unit without being connected to a computer? Or are you limited to one of each FX, and one of the three options within each type of FX?

Nice demo!! Question: Is there any significant difference between the Nux Trident and the Cerberus tonally? I like the effect insert options on the Cerebrus but the Trident seems to sound a bit more natural in the demos I've heard.
@mattgilbert7347

The drives in the Trident are digital. Cerberus has analog overdrive and distortion. However, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Some of these digital drives sound totally decent. Others, less so. The Cerberus drives are voiced on the dark side. The Trident sacrifices analog for digital versatility, amp models, mic and extended IR capacities.

@@mattgilbert7347 I bought the Trident and am pleased with the distortion and amp sounds. I record mainly direct so it's perfect for me.I like the unit a lot. Question: Is there a way of programming t2 foots witches to do the Rotator ramp up/ramp down thing? Also what is a good but small Expression pedal that would work well with this unit?
@mattgilbert7347
@mattgilbert7347 16 күн бұрын
@@Vazmusic That's great! I'm happy you like it. I'm seriously considering selling or trading my Cerberus and upgrading to the Trident. Regarding the ramping function, I don't know. However, for a solid Expression pedal you have a few options. I have two. An M-Audio Expression pedal (standard, no frills, compatible with almost anything) and a Boss FV-500H. That's a dual volume and expression pedal. It's very well made, has a "range" function where you can set the minimum and maximum of the sweep, and is built like a tank. It's nice and big without being cumbersome, and the pedal has a slight "grip" material so your foot stays on the pedal with no effort at all - prevents slippage and whatnot. For more $ I would look into the Source Audio and Mission Engineering Expression Pedals. Boss also make a dual Expression Pedal that can control up to two devices simultaneously. Personally, I'd try the M-Audio or the Boss FV-500H. That's "H" for high impedance. If you use active pickups, they make the FV-500L. Those pedals are handy because you get an expression and volume pedal in one unit. Hope that helps!

Id like to request a demo of the Mesa IIC+ Metal sound. I love all the other sounds but thats the one that i have yet to hear and its the one thing keeping me from buying it. Also, do you find a drop in volume when moving from patch to patch? Specifically from a clean patch to a distorted patch? I have often had that issue with these types of units.

Hi, I just recieved a Nu-X Trident. Its EXCELLENT!!! But is there a way to delete the factory presets? All of them are not usable for me..and I would love to have more space for my sounds. Also..one wrong press of a button and they are screaming out of my amp !!!!! I don't want to have that happen at one of my shows. How do I delete the factory presets?
@GertvanderDoes
@GertvanderDoes 7 ай бұрын
You probably found out by now, but for others: Can't delete but you can overwrite them. I think they did not do this very well. The factory preset stays available "behind" the tweaked preset. One press of the select button switches to the factory preset and a long press of the same saves a preset. I overwrote my user preset with the factory one several times already.
