If he becomes immortal, he may one day see them again like Sarutobi said when he told Orochimaru the white snake he found on their grave means life and rebirth. The man wants to see his parents again too but starts losing sight of himself over time. Like, it's not generic. Don't forget he did feel empathy for Tsunade despite his demeanor. One of the most intimidating villains in Naruto, and he was scared to die. That was his fear. And part of his motivation.

gojo is way too confident. unlike that volcano guy. sukuna was quickly begining to figure out his trick. and later in the show when itadori is sad that he cant learn clan specific techniques. gojo whispers to himself that unlike others. itadori actually can because he has sukuna in his. which suggest that sukuna can learn clan specific techniques. this includes gojo techniques. once sukuna figures out the specifics. he will be able to do the stuff gojo can. i forget which episode. it was very early in the show. sukuna was refered to as the god of jujutsu. another crazy thing is his domain. domains can be over powerd by stronger domains. and sukunas domain is strong enough to over power gojo's. unlike domains that keep people trapped. sukuna actually doesnt trap those in it. instead it encompasses hundreds meters radius or something crazy like that. one description given about this domain is that its like a artist painting a masterpiece on thin air without a canvas. a divine level domain to put simply. as strong as gojo is. based off of these things i listed. im fairly sure gojo was just full of himself when he said he could beat a full power sukuna. hell. even if he cant beat him normally. he could still use sealing techniques to defeat him. which if i recall right. was how gojo got defeated in the manga.
