True story. I had two friends. One of them was infamous for abusing the breeding system to make murder machines and creating his own optimized meta. The other played the game but seriously just viewed it as a mindless kids game. And then there was me. A man who not only named all my Pokémon, but noticed their odd quirks(like my heracross who could never even look at a stunfisk without getting paralyzed while the rest of my party was fine). Someone who loved my Pokémon and their story. We all went to a midnight release for X&Y and basically spent that night and the following weekend to marathon the game together until we reached the end. We then battled. They made fun of me for using Amie so much but I was over the moon that I could spoil my Pokémon like that. When I ended the game with my Pokémon level 80 and they did not even approach that, they got stomped and tried to suggest a flat battle. With recon and even levels they did better, but they still ended up losing. I, through true love and knowing what my Pokémon could and could not do, I defeated them. And this is why I’m a Pokémon breeder and not a Pokémon trainer. Because I want others to feel that same love for their Pokémon by seeing what they can and cannot do as an individual and getting to know your Pokémon.

@@scelebob4329 I keep wondering if I should do a KZbin where I literally put on the persona of a Pokémon professor and try to give not only do videos based on general mechanics but also trivia and maybe even dedicated videos for each Pokémon. I feel like, as regurgitated as the concept is, I would have material for years, even as constant new Pokémon games come out

Squirtle is the worst starter choice because you have to deal with the powders for the entire play through and sleep powder and poison powder is terrible to deal with

4:50 I agree,it's considered to be Kanto's best definitive starter pokemon,it is very good early game,still good after Lt.Surge and has an advantage against Charmander for being bulkier and better early game,Squirtle is probably the Second Best Starter cause it is good against Brock but equal against Misty and the earliest Gym Battles are the most important thing,plus it's Kanto,your gonna need a water type to surf and what better way than use your starter for that cause Surf has some Water stab for Squirtle,but it's okay if you wanna use your Nidoking or Rhydon....
