False information: wraths can see through doors, lockers etc. That's a myth made up by someone who died to a wraith who decided to go through a door and kill them so then the person thought that it was able to see them through the door which is false. Any ghost can go into your hiding room during a hunt no matter if you are standing in line of sight with the door or not. Ghosts sometimes just randomly enter a room and if you are not hid well enough in that room, the ghost will chase after you often resulting in your death due to the room not being big enough to make an escape.

@@BrB0424 Well then I don't understand why other types of ghosts can also walk into the room even when I am completely silent and not standing in line of sight with the door. I've been killed by poltergeists who "seen" me through doors. Ghosts don't walk only through the corridors, they can also enter rooms when they want to. It wouldn't make any sense if ghosts couldn't enter rooms at all during hunts unless they know someone is inside. They sometimes decide to check rooms. Which is why some rooms have bigger furniture that can cover your entire character model so even when the ghost enters your room it won't find you. The argument that wraiths or any types of ghost see through doors can be easily debunked on the high school map. Classrooms allow you to stand up by the wall the way that there is no way anyone would have seen you even if there was no door there. That someone would have to enter the classroom first to notice that you are inside which is exactly what ghosts do in this game - they randomly decide to enter a room and when they enter it and see you, they will chase you.

A wraith stepping in salt doesn't end a hunt, and I am not even sure they can step in salt during a hunt to start with. People try all the time to put huge lines of salt and run over it during hunts and it doesn't do anything. Wraiths also can't see through doors or lockers, people hide behind them all the time and the ghost just walks right by.

True true, the wraith being allergic to salt only means that if it steps in it (not during hunts) it has a less chance of starting a hunt for some time. Ive never experienced a hunt stop due to salt, neither have i experienced a wraith seeing through doors, closets etc during a hunt. Its just that the wraith roams more during non hunts cause it goes through walls.

You are right in the first part where stepping in salt doesn't stop a hunt, but they CAN see through walls, lockers, closets, etc, because almost every time the ghost hunts and walks past my door, it go in and kills me, and being the fact I am level 230, I can ensure you it can see through doors, lockers, closets, etc, so I think personally the wraiths are the most dangerous ghosts, and don't take my word for it, if you go into the Phasmophobia discord and ask if the wraiths can see through doors, lockers, closets, etc, they will (or should) say yes, they do. Okay my bad, I was wrong I was doing some stuff and found out that I was just really unlucky, so yea your right.

The hunt does not end when the wraith steps in Salt. It works like smudge sticks where if the Wraith steps in one, it can't hunt for about 30 seconds.

Yeah, I beleive they changed how that works a bit back. It used to stop the hunt, but iirc, it now just delays it like a smidge stick effect for everyone.

Yeah I don't think anything can end a hunt early (Except of course if a ghost gets a player) It used to be that salt could end a wraith hunt, and taking a picture of a phantom mid hunt would end that too. No longer the case for either though.

Stepping in salt doesnt delay hunt, but less chance of hunt. "Wraiths have an additional Wraith multiplier set to 50 after stepping in salt, making it less likely to start a hunting phase". Say for example the Wraith has a 1/10 chance of hunt (random number), it now has 1/60 chance of hunt after stepping in the salt.

Played the prison map for the first time, and the ghost cornered me up by the damn cells coming out of nowhere like that when me and my bf just found the place and started gathering evidence. I had nowhere to go. She was coming. I knew I was doomed the moment I was staring at her flickering corpse walking aimlessly to and from the bottleneck, owning that exit whether I'd make it there or not, whether I was just as fast or not... The only thing left to do is try to take a picture of the (elusive fucking pussy) ghost before your demise.

Did the wraight got an update? Earlier I played Phasmo in High School and it spawns every where like hell during hunts. Its favorite room was the breaker room left side 2nd floor but it often spawns at the 2nd hallway and even at the main entrance and it hunts.

This..... this makes me mad. Not something you did, just that I played with three different groups today and only one of them believed me when I said that the wraith didn't leave footprints. One group outright said it couldn't be a wraith just because it stepped in the piles. They didn't even check for footprints. I'm level 3 right now, but just because I started playing today doesn't mean I dont know things like this. Really good and informative video though really liked it and cant wait for more

Lag near constantly making hiding almost impossible, and it seems to freeze the game and force me to restart anytime I try asylum or high school so i tend to watch videos of it more often than not

Note: Salt footprints are buggy, and ghosts will sometimes leave no footprints even if it isn't a wraith. Further, I've tried placing salt in front of hunting wraiths, and they don't seem to care. Proceed with caution.

I'll share a bit from what I've learned If you get an early ghost event when after you enter a house it's either Banshee, Demon, Shade, Oni. Banshee's will be more active when it's target is in the area, and all activity is reduced when it's target is gone. Demons attack at 75% sanity if they're bitchy enough. If you have two hunts after each other it's usually a demon depending on how much sanity you have left. Always "count" your sanity while playing. Shades can be a bitch to find but it also behaves like a phantom. It shows itself, then disappears. An oni will keep on being active. Yurei are easy to spot - Opens many doors, *loves* turning on lights. Walks after you in rooms, . And sanity goes down very fast. Poltergeist is similar to Yurei, but they tend to make more noise than turning on lights. But I think you already know that ^^ Revenants are also unique. They are slow when not hunting, and activity happens a few times here and there. If you've been in a room and you're asking for signs, nothing is happening until something is thrown, miiight be a revenant.. Spirits are way more active than revenants I'd love to write a lot more but I have to go to work :/

@@totallytuberular8681 I still haven't figured out jinns as they remind me a lot of yurei. But I know jinns rarely leave their room. If it's silent in most of the house then it's territorial. Jinn's love to flicker lights, but usually won't turn off the fusebox. Mares are easy to spot due to it's affiliation with dark but mares CAN turn on lights. It's extremely rare as it has happened to me once. Wraiths are tricky. I usually guess wraith when I hear very few footsteps. They can fly but sometimes they'll hit you with 12 footsteps in a row. If overall activity of footstep noise is lower than usual then it might be a wraith. Another thing I've noticed is that they usually hunt after teleporting, like half a minute later. Salt does not work on a wraith after it materializes, if anything it's a % chance of interaction that the ghost rolls a dice to do, if the ghost is patrolling and is crossing path with a salt pile (or 3). It might be possible for it to roll a die when it passes a path of a bunch of salt pile during a hunt, but during a hunt the wraith does not go through walls, only when patrolling outside of hunts. The wraith does not travel through map related objects such as counter-tops and furnitures as they have a separate entity and collision than the 'map' itself which consists of the building itself (walls, floors, and doors or lack thereof as a wraith). If a wraith travelled through walls, people would have recorded such events with video camera footage or watching them do so via motion sensors and such... It's likely that instead of going through walls, they are 'teleporting' to players which gives off a false impression that it's doing so.
