Hello! In this video I'll be going over the latest Beta Branch update which has brought a whole range of Quality of Life updates, while doing a Solo Professional on Tanglewood!

How to install the beta branch update on Steam:
Right click on Phasmophobia
Click Properties
Click on the Beta tab
From the dropdown box, choose 'beta - Unstable build'
The update will then install automatically

I'm sad the door spinning was fixed, I always thought it added an extra spooky factor I remember I was doing a run with my friend on tanglewood and it was a garage poltergeist and the door came off its hinges and spun and I thought it was the ghost and almost shat my pants.

The other use for the Ouija Board is a controlled way to find EMF, especially level 5. If you go somewhere reasonably safe, like the entrance door or far from the ghost room with a hiding place next to you, you can put the EMF reader near the Ouija Board and ask questions. Each answer gives an EMF reading of 2, which has a chance to show as a 5 on the EMF 5 type ghosts. I tend to stand in the entrance and ask questions, then step outside if the door moves and my light blinks.

That bathroom is the bane of my Tanglewood existence. Ghosts just seem to love to set up their lair in there, even though I can't get the freaking orbs. I'm glad to see the devs fixed that. *-* That butcher shadow actually caught me offguard. I admire your ability to remain calm even after that. :D

That is a great update! And apparently pretty recent - I played just a few hours ago (beta) and had been wondering if the flashlight being turned off while switching would be changed at some time. Seems like the ghosts listen to our voices, but the developer listens to our thoughts.

I suggest on the official Discord of the game a new addition and I want to know if all of you like this idea: New type of evidence: Air Condition - With the addition of a new possibility of evidence we could in the future have more than 20 new types of ghosts! New Item: Air Monitor / CO2 Monitor. Cost: $ 60 Level: 10 A kind of reader of ambient air that will measure the quality of the particles in the room. If the indicators are very bad, this is an indication that this is the haunted room. Evidence can also be obtained if the player stays in the room for a few minutes and starts coughing or blurred vision.

The ghost orbs fix is going to be a massive time saver, thank goodness. We had issues with a ghost in the Edgefield Master Bathroom where we couldn't tell if there were orbs or not because it was too damn bright. The funniest part of that is, both my friends INSISTED they had the right room because "She spawned there when she appeared" "She spawned there when she hunted" But the temperature was no lower in either the master or it's bathroom. So I check the bedroom next to it, the one just to the right of the top of the stairs while they both sat in the truck calling me a moron. And I moved the book. We all went back in, they were going to move my book and camera. Walk up "TURN AROUND BOYS! SHE WROTE IN THE BOOK!" Never assume the ghost room is the room where they appeared to you if it doesn't match up with your other evidence. Especially when it comes to the fucking book or ghost orbs that are room reliant. Now I have a second book in case those fuckers don't listen to me XD

The Thermometer is pretty damn useful to find the ghost room. Me and my brother use it all the time, even if it is not an objective. Oh and turns out that, photographing the EMF in action, the Ghost Writing book (with written stuff) and stuffed animals that the ghost flung, counts as "Interaction".

Anything the Ghost moves, if it's taken within a few seconds of the movement (or mid move with doors) will count as interaction. Usually if you take an EMF picture it isn't the EMF that is giving you an interaction photo, it's whatever the ghost interacted with being close enough to set the EMF off and getting caught in the picture. You can even take a picture of the place a ghost was when it made an appearance to get an interaction photo.

@@SC_Reaper Hm... that makes sense... especially considering I've repeatedly tried capturing the EMF in action several times but no cigar, and other times I accidentally take a picture and counts as "interaction".

@@MCPunk55 Yeah I used to do that too, took me forever to realise why it was so hit and miss lol. Best bet is if you hear/see something move or your EMF goes off, take a wide angle picture of as much of the area as you can. Chances are it'll get you the interaction.

You should be able to get more money for getting more info about the ghost (Maybe a ghost profiling book), . You could lock in its favourite room, age and gender for extra dosh! That would be fun and make the Ouija boards a bit better!

Nice Video :), would you say if they add more Items, like a portable Monitor you can use to check for orbs if you're not in the truck, and holy water wich can use to make the ghost unable to kill for a few seconds, or forces the ghost to change target for a few seconds during a hunt ^^

hey nuzz-- I'm just wondering how to fix this. Whenever I press Q (yes i changed the keyblind) it drops whatever I picked up first. For example, if I was holding my flashlight but grabbed my lighter first and pressed Q, it would drop my lighter. Do you know how to fix this?

I was playing a game of phasmophobia and it got glitched so the ghost hunted forever and stuff got randomly teleported around. The back door of the house got teleported to the front porch so my friend and I went inside while the hunt was going on. The ghost was just chilling there and it couldn’t attack or move.

In single player, yes they can hear you even if you dont trigger the voice chat. However you can freely talk in multiplayer (as i know) but its not worth to risk it

I have a question: If the ghost is a freezing ghost, when the power is off, will it read freezing anywhere? Also, if it does, will it go freezing, even if it's not a freezing ghost, because of the lack of power?

On the beta at the moment it works like this: On Professional the power is off at the start, so all rooms start at 5C. The ghost room will slowly get colder if it's a freezing ghost, otherwise all rooms will show 3-7C on the thermometer. If the power is on, all rooms are hotter except for the ghost room. They gradually heat up until they hit their temperature. The ghost room always slowly cools down. When the power is off, all rooms gradually cool down. All rooms can go as low as 5C, with a variation of around 2 degrees, so can show as 3-7. If it's a freezing room it will go lower than that, so even if the power is off, only the ghost room and possibly rooms a ghost wanders will show 2.9C or lower. In fact having the breaker off speeds up how quickly the ghost room goes Freezing. But if it's not a Freezing ghost you will never see 2.9C or lower on your thermometer, or your breath. TL;DR: Rooms can only go as low as 5C unless it's a Freezing Temps ghost.

I feel like they should add this: Upon death, any items left in the van are returned to the player. What do you think? Would it be better to have more of a challenge by losing items? Or would it be better if we get our items back as long as they are in the van?
