Will I ever learn to stop impulse buying secondhand guns.
I like this one. A slightly risky second hand purchase but this time it paid off.
Amazing to think that the 96 in the Mauser C96 relates to the year 1896. No wonder it looks so odd, ahead of its time and yet somehow not.

A very nice bit of kit, it just doesn't fit the KWC.

Whoever filled in the slot in the barrel of the deact could be said to be invalidating the deact cert as it has changed from what was certified. This is based on a bloke who filled in with wax the 3 holes drilled into the underside of a revolver barrel and was prosecuted for attempting to reactivate the weapon (Yes daft I know but the words of the act have to be followed)

Great video Nick, I've got the pistol and I have the same misfire issue so instead of 20 bbs I load only 18. Do you know that it can fire full auto?

Hello Luis, hope all is well with you. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍🏻. I think mine is also 18 max, I'll have to count them next time I use it. Mine went into full auto when the pressure in the capsule dropped right off, but the selector switch on the side does nothing.

Hi Nick....regarding the bb gun replica...I've got 5 such ones, Webley mkVI, umarex luger, p38, mp40 and an umarex c96. My c96 is mainly plastic and I'm not 100% happy with it, it shoots very quickly but I've had feed issues also. The KWC looks a lot better, where did you get the stock from?, I've seen them advertised at ridiculous prices. As for EU deacs..🤔🤔, I've got one, a pps43 and it's OK, bolt moves under sprung tension, mag releases etc. Yes its been butchered but it was cheap....my thoughts are if you can get a deac at a good price they are still worth it as they will always be a real piece of history even though they've been vandalised, other than that I'm all over replicas, I've got two denix types , mp44 and a ppsh41, and replica air guns....why not? They look great on display for a fraction of the cost. Finally regarding the extended magazine, yes it was a thing...I've got a book containing a photo of an SS soldier firing one, it was called , maybe unofficially, the 'schnellfeuer', I've definitely spelt that wrong...basically quick firing..hope this helps m8...great video 😊

Hello Stan, hope all is well with you. I bought the C96 with the stock, a bit of a second hand bargain (with a few CO2 capsules and 5000bbs thrown in too). I'm not seeing any deacts cheap at the moment, do you have a recommendation where to buy from please? I do like the Denix replicas, I just get a bit frustrated with the cast in non moving parts. However for display as you say they are fine and give people a good idea if what it looked like. Thank you for the info re: the magazine. I wasn't sure if the magazine on the KWC was a bit chunky, will have to look into it a bit more. All the best, Nick.

They seem to be out of stock everywhere at the moment. I'd suggest contacting your local gunshop and see if they can contact the importer to see whether they plan on bringing more in.

Hello Terry, thank you for replying. I think we will have to agree to disagree on this point. I'd much rather have a functional replica than support an industry that butchers historically important items and due to the current laws renders them nonfunctional as demonstrated by the deactivated C96 in the video. The KWC C96 in the video is an airgun, albeit CO2. Let's face it, I'd never be able to purchase a powder burning C96 in the UK, so the CO2 version is the best we can aspire to. I'm shooting airgun related content today, maybe shotgun too if time allows although I'm trying to keep hunting related content off of the channel to avoid backlash from the antis. It is a bit of an oddball but it does shoot very well. I'd say it is the best .177 BB gun that I've shot. Glad you enjoyed the review.

I know, new spec. really is bad isn't it. I can't support an industry that does that to historically important items. I had hoped that "new spec." would stop when we left the EU, but no such luck.

​@@nickvending9688 Me neither, I would never in a million years buy a current spec. To me they are a waste of money. That lead me to these CO2 BB replicas, I have quite a few and they look just as good on display. Regarding the misfeeding issue, I have the same problem with my KWC Luger. I simply load fewer rounds in the magazine and it appears to function much better.

Exactly, plus the BB versions are a lot cheaper plus you can have fun with them too, which is always a bonus! I guess it was my fault for putting too many BBs in it, I got carried away.
