NVDA, TSM, AMD Show A.I. Game Will Last "Quite a Few Years"

Michelle Connell of Portia Capital Management says there's "more surprise to come" for A.I. and semiconductor stocks, especially as the market awaits Nvidia's (NVDA) Blackwell chip. She believes the U.S. will be very protective of its A.I. boom but notes the headwinds that lie ahead for mid-size companies.

You mean it will take a few years or more to START producing meaningful results. How many years before companies of any kind will report a line entry in their ledger that actually demonstrates the savings or profits that result from AI? These folks keep throwing NVDA’s name around but that’s just hardware. For the last two years I have seen NO interviews on any financial channels that interview ANY of the developers that attend NVDA’s developer’s conferences. Nvda is like an iPhone will no apps and no cell connection. It’s just hardware. AI is software. I am not interested in any gee-whiz gizmo or gadget toys Apple or Microsoft throws on their desktops to sucker people into buying newer products. I would like a truly solid OS that neither company produces any longer. I guess we’ll see smart emoji’s that will emulate smile/sad faces based on the weather. Gee! Look How far AI has come. I tested Chap GPT with some pointed questions and it gave me propaganda not historically factual results. All this is hype to desperately keep the AI narrative bubble inflated.
