I believe the Indiana Jones RTX error is because that game aways has RTX on, there’s no way to turn it off. So you cant play it on free tier of GFNOW for that reason. Just a guess.

I was playing only standalone VR and then tried PC VR through a cloud PC service, then later built a PC for VR. Cloud PC VR is possible but not effectively available for very many people yet. But for me on my 100 MB fiber data service, it worked well enough for a while when I couldn’t afford the PC.

I think this is becoming a thing if pixel density is increased up to what a usual flat screen provides. Quest 3 is not quite there yet but upcoming headsets with beyond 3000x3000 pixel per eye will. Then it looks like a real (big) screen in front of you.

Do you own a Quest 3 ? Or ever played on it ? I am very satisfied with the pixel density and the screen size of the Quest 3 .. it really depends on your personal preferences. I am coming from a HP Reverb G2 and the Quest 3 is definatly the better VR Headset. Even offers wireless PCVR gaming when you have a fast Wifi-6e router.

@Lightning---K. I'm a PCVR guy, so I do not own a Q3 myself but tried it several times. I am coming from Samsung O+, Reverb G2 and now rocking a PSVR2. G2 was sharpest from all of them, but I still see SDE. Watching movies, especially 3D BluRay, is still something special, but it's not on the clarity level like sitting in front of a TV. But as said, Headsets with more than 3000 px per eye are going to close this gap.

@ I would never watch a Blueray movie with a bulky and "heavy" headset on my head .... the Quest 3 is not meant to be the replacement for high-end TV´s .. that optics is not existing in that low price category .. ..if you are willing to pay more than 3.000 Dollars you could be succesfull with the newest developments ... but personally i think so high resolutions are absolutely not neccessary .. it´s just not made for the masses but more for the rich. The Quest 3 is made for the masses and affordable for everyone

In germany, this game streaming is basically impossible. We have the worst internet, you literally cant do that here. I still cant believe we are supposed to be one of the richest countries and still live at least 25 years behind. The schools and the whole internet infrastructure.

It really depends on where in Germany you live and what Internet Provider you have ... i for example live close to Bonn and i have a 250 Mbit DSL connection from 1&1 and it is absolutely fantastic ! You should think about o move to a populated town when you want to have access to fast internet ... everybody who lives in areas where you only get a 6.000 kbit connection i would recommend to rent the Starlink internet satelite antenna for 50 Euros per month ( for private house use ) ... they offer a good latency and high bandwidth these days

My buddy was able to buy a quest3s. However he can't afford any flat consoles. He does like flat gaming and loves Halo. I would think anyone out there with a Quest and no Xbox or PC could utilize this to experience games like Spiderman,Indiana Jones and the such without having to shell hundreds for a console. I think this is who this mainly could be for and I Love it.

I've had a Quest 2 since launch day, so looking for an upgrade, it was a toss up between a Quest 3 or PSVR2. Ended up with the PSVR2 for its visual horsepower, as I don't have a high end gaming PC to link to the Q3. Having an ability to stream PC steam games to a Quest would have DEFINITELY swayed my choice back to the Quest. If Meta manage to pull that off, I'm going for it.

@@robertdaone Not a better choice, just a different one, depending on your usage. If you don't need the portability then the PSVR2 tends to offer better looking versions of the games. I have both and enjoy both equally, there's a lot I like about the Quest, but I do find myself wishing some of the games looked better. I prefer the Quest 3's lenses, but ironically they make it easier to spot the less good looking aspects of the Quest's graphics, although there are some games on there that are still pretty damn good looking too.

@ Well all I know is my Quest 3 works extremely well for my PCVR games also. So that covers both bases for me so I'm good with the Quest 3 all around. Not sure if the PSVR2 can be used for PCVR and how the visuals are for PC gamming.

If you are into VR you need a PC, the unreal VR mod is just one example, the shit thing is you need a 4090 to get good performance in UEVR and most VR games, I upgraded to a 4090 just form VR, I did not want to spend that much but it made a massive difference, up to 50% to 80% faster than the 4080 I had, VR loves fast GPU RAM

I think it would be cool for Avalanche to come out and help Standalone to get PCVR capabilities, but at the same time, how good is it really? Based on the internet? How's the latency? Is it going to just be any better than just buying the game straight up? How will this help developers for payment? Cloud gaming is cool in concept, but it's based on your Wi-Fi and if it's good enough. I would pay the same price of a gamepass for Xbox, but I think Im going to wait another 3 years before I even invest into something like that.

Geforce Now was a rescue for me. Although I have a quite good PC with 4070ti s, but it's useless during blackouts in Ukraine. Playing games inside VR environment feels like being in another world for me👍

I have the "Founders for Life" GeForce Now membership since I've been a member since it was in Beta. I pay $5 a month for the "Performance" tier. I actually have a decent PCVR ready rig with an RTX 3080 but I use GeForce Now on my ROG Ally when I'm on the couch with my gf or in the bedroom and don't feel like being at my desk setup. It worked really well on the Quest 3 in my testing last night. Agree 100% it works best for single player games. I tried Forza MotoSport and ate the wall on one of the lag spikes, but thankfully it was single player and I was just able to rewind. Now if they somehow figure out SteamVR games, we will have a winner on our hands.

On the free substription i think its a gtx card not an rtx so ray tracing is not supported and indiana jones is a game that requires ray tracing. Also great vid as always! 😀

the real reason those paid streaming services exist is to combat anti piracy, to this date I refuse to pay for one of those services, my hard earned money is better spent another place . You buy games there like any store and you can access them from your windows machine, a handheld devices with windows or linux or access them from geforce now streaming service. Xbox game pass, you pay for the service and you get access to the games and the cloud streaming With geforce now, it's just streaming. It streams the games you already own from steam store or any other store on windows

If you don't game on PC and don't have a Steam library then it's not going to make much difference to you, but it means youi'll have to stick to playing the games available on Nvidia's app only.

The queue is loads better though. A couple years ago you would be waiting hours like 400 people ahead of you or even more. It was unusable. But Its got better and when I tried it yesterday I had 6 people ahead of me took about a minute or 2. Well usable now. Still prefer playing on my real 4080 super though really.

For this type of service, you absolutely want the highest quality possible. The lower you go the worse the compression artifacting is going to be. 8k streamed to quest 4 almost looks decent

If you have a good enough internet connection, GeForce Now premium kinda removes the need for having any gaming PC, or needing to upgrade it. They're always upgrading their hardware. The amount you pay comes nowhere close to what buying an upper-tier gaming PC every 3 years would cost. Having it on the Quest 3 is good for college students living in dorms or really cramped housing. If you're in a single 6x8 room, you're not putting a 70" curved television in there.

I stay in a very small space, and sharing the internet, electricity with the rest of the ppl staying in the house. I am unable to build a gaming PC, even a mITX with a monitor because the rest of the folks will be thinking I use too much of electricity and the heat generated in the room surely will get a complain after. This is just nice for me as I have a Quest 3, and xbox controller. even my Mac Mini M4 I use quest 3 as my display now. So it's awesome I be able to play some racing games, NBA, DragonBall fighters and some GTA V. I like it.

You are definitely better off using a low-end computer at home then paying for G-Force now but honestly the input lag and the fact that no matter how good your internet is the screen is always going to be fuzzy pretty much killed it for me I wouldn't even play it traveling

£25 a month I think would be a fair price I have GeForce now and the input lag on things like my TV make fast pace games like call of duty unplayable however if you play on something like a hand held device or even on a pc it runs flawlessly and saves storage space. Streaming PCVR or streaming any PC game has been tried time and time and time again, it hasnt improved since Onlive. The delay cannot be removed. You need SUBSTANTIALLY better internet than is even accessible today. Onlive is FIFTEEN years old. We are still not able to do streaming video games today. The technology isnt there.

I’m sticking to the GeForce now app for quest 3. We waited all this time just for 1440p?! With the app you can get higher resolution and even use ultra wide screen option. Smh disappointing

@ what do you mean? The option is not showing? Make sure your browser window is the biggest it can get. The app tried to auto populate setting based on what device it thinks it is.
