Kevin The Tech Ninja Kevin, there is an article out on how in Arizona a couple was arguing in their home, and Amazon Fire with Alexa/Echo called the police and even reported it as a domestic disturbance. The husband was detained by the police... now, I don't argue with my wife all that much, nor am I up to no good, but what about privacy concerns? The idea that cops could just show up at your door thinking you're up to no good because your tv ratted you out is seriously messed up. The Nvidia seems to be the one I am leaning towards getting. Is there anything you know of that would make this a bad choice for privacy and security? Can a hacker or the government spy on you?

Yes i agree that the main feature is to watch movies,series etc but having that option and being able to smoothly play games if you feel like it,it is a Plus and quite a few people care for that as well.

Hey Kevin! I am hoping you come back and view this post. So I've been thinking.... is the Samsung DeX for the S8 worth it? And then I started thinking about some of these jail broken Kodi boxes. I started wondering if the phone OS would pass through the Kodi box, or would the box OS conflict with the phone OS? But then I started wondering... What if a Kodi box were wiped clean and reformatted? Would you now have a smart router with on board memory and a video card boost, and all the peripherals you could ever hope to want? Honestly, I haven't run my experiment, primarily because I don't own a Kodi box. I have watched the cool tech you work with and review. Hoped you might consider trying my little experiment?

Thanks for the great review, but now I've got a question to ask. I've been reading on many forums that the Shield has some of the worst upscale features in the market. They say if you play 1080p video off a USB stick, then the Shield automatically upscales to 4k if you own a 4k TV. The problem is that most 4k TVs have their own upscaling and the resulting picture looks washed out. The picture looks fine if you set your shield to 1080p, but that means you have to change to 4k again when you're watching 4k contents. Have you experienced anything similar? Because there are a ton of complaints online about what the upscale problem on the Shield. Thanks.

Hello, I should have two queries: Will the Critical Ops play over this new gamepad on this console? I noticed that this new nvidia gamepad misses the gray area for finger-touch control (similar to the mouse) at the first gamepad, this option was, and how is it new? Without a zoo, I would get to the main menu as much as possible in the game. And no longer because it requires a touchscreen to play with the options in the game. For the first version of the gamepad and nvidia tablet it is not such a problem as I can on this device game ok in ok. The question is how will it work with Nvidia TV 2017? Next, when this time offer ends in 35 hours sales, there is no way to buy this one: nvidia shield tv? Which would be a pity if it was not enough :(

Hey guys, I had a Red Rhino box for almost 3 years and it was good when I first got it, but I'm looking for something new. I've done a bunch of research on these boxes, and right now this one seems to be the very best on the market. I have an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One for gaming, so I'm not really buying the box for that. What I want is a box that I can use to mostly stream tv shows and movies (I also like that this box will be compatible with my Google Home products). Anyway, I'm not as tech savvy as many of you here, so I was hoping someone(s) could help me out. I was wondering if this box comes loaded with Kodi or if it's something I would have to download and install myself (and if I have to do it myself, how easy is it to do)? Also, once I have Kodi on this box, can you run streaming sites like Poseidon, Apollo, Elysium, etc (and how easy is it to download/set those up)? Also, is there ever a time you have to upgrade the box or is it done through automatic updates? Is there a tech support number you can call if you need help and is it reliable? Will this box become obsolete in a year or 2, or will it be around for the long haul? Sorry I'm asking so many questions....I'm really loving this box from what I've seen so far, but I got a little screwed over by the Red Rhino box, and I want to make sure that whatever I buy into next, will (1) meet my own needs and (2) will be reliable for the long term. faster more reliable 4k with HDR. Better speed and handling of apps. More support in the feature than any Smart Tv including Samsung smart tv's. Basically use it as a computer on tv as it also has mouse and keyboard support along with bluetooth.

You have given me confidence, but what I still miss from ALL the reviewers is the AUDIO comparisons. How does it handle 5.1 and 7.1 surround?

I have installed it. As a matter of fact I now have two now. I tried the Shield on the main TV and tried a Roku on another. It did not take me long to choose the Shield and send back the Roku. For me, the Roku was an instant failure on how it handled the TV guide when I used PlayStation Vue! So far so good. I can stream all of my PC games I have on Steam as well and that made it a solid choice!

Camera WithWings wired or wifi ? If wifi maybe your router is not AC capable and if its wired maybe your router does not have giga byte ethernet port but simply fast ethernet up up 100mb speed. If you do have AC capable router and gigabyte ethernet port then check your isp maybe they do limit the bandwidth to internet more than it should be

Ive had mine for a few months when the 2017 model dropped. There's no need for anything else. I sold my Xbox because now I can game stream my PC games to my living room and it streams all the exact same content the Xbox does too. But has a much smaller footprint.

Purple Baby there is a capacitive switch on the Nvidia logo on the lower right side of the top cover, hold your finger on top for a few seconds until it turns on... (theres no clicking on the switch btw)....
