I wish so too, but I think that unfortunately, that the typical American doesn't want to be inconvenienced by the delays and detours that would result from race prep, setup, and such... Of course, those of us that ride, would love for this to come here.

US has too many lawyers and insurance companies that are run by...lawyers to allow this awesomeness to happen here. We will just have to travel to the Isle of Man and Ireland to get our fill of road racing.

There were times when it was nearly shut down due to liability. They also have very stout safety measures. But, that said, moto racing has a higher rate of mortal danger...Pikes peak is probably the closest we will get to Irish road racing.
