fowards need some level of selfishness. while selfishness is usually seen as a bad thing, the lack of it is what affected Kanu @1:24. Instead of going for goal, he wanted to pass, then he saw that Simeone was offside, and then decided to go for goal. consequently, he started trying extra hard to make up for that chance. R9 would never have hesitated in that situation.

How Nigeria didn't win the World Cup in 98 is just completely Obfuscated. How Kanu didn't help Nigeria win the 2002 World Cup, 2002, 04, 06 African Nations Cup with ease is mind blowing. Kanu is by far the best player to come out of that entire African continent.

The playing surface was terrible. The ball was barely moving on the ground. Also, Kanu looked much better than any other player on the field, including Ronaldo. That was a terrible miss by Kanu after rounding the keeper though.

Probably the most overrated African player in history. So inefficient and unbalanced. He always slowed down the game and had an extra move or touch.
