How interesting that this story is based on an incident that happened to "River Esk", Rex's real-life counterpart. I used to be a trainee guard at the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, and I remember riding aboard "River Mite", Mike's real-life counterpart once as part of my training.

After losing his whistle, one would think Mike would learn humility. But I guess old habits die hard.

Now this is one incredible episode. I was surprised to see the Horrid Lorries come back to Sodor. Looks like Mike had to be put in his place again. What a silly engine he can be at times. I like the line at the end when Mike thought Rex had said that line. Reminds me of the last lines from 'Tender Engines' 😀.

I'd never thought we see Mike and the Horrid Lorries interacting.

So much for the Lorries "not returning". In all seriousness, this was really good!👍

Wow this is really taking place in the 2000s or 2010s when I saw the CRV car at the crossing. The road cars and crossing gate bells all looked and sounded very much like nowadays with Sodor being the island of never replacing steam engines with all diesels 😊.

Beautiful episode!! Justing thinking tho' that Ryan appearing during S5 to rescue the lorry messes a bit with the show's timeline.
@NWR19913 ай бұрын
It’s not suppose to represent the TV series. The events of Horrid Lorry happened in 1973 and Ryan was on the island in my series in 1967, all based on my timeline so it makes perfect sense.

Felt like this could have been a season 6 episode. Although I expected all 3 lorries to mess up again. But one is better than none. As for Mike, it just feels weird seeing him smiling while pulling passengers. I always thought of him as James’s miniature opposite. Both red but prefer the completely different trains.

Mike, eh? There's a character I'm sure I haven't heard about before. You're bringing a lot of comedy to this season so far, I love it. Is that a Welsh accent you used for Mike, or some other UK one I probably haven't heard enough to recognize?
@NWR19913 ай бұрын
@@brianrunyon266 I was mimicking the voice he had in the CG era, I think it’s a southern accent

Idk why ttte fan content keep saying these videos aren’t for kids so want if it’s for older fans they should be able to enjoy this too
@NWR19913 ай бұрын
Or maybe it was done so that Coppa can detect the swear and other things and not force it as 'made for kids'. I thought it was quite clear these last few years :P

@@NWR1991 I wish COPPA would stop marking Thomas & Friends fan videos as "Made For Kids" including those with swearing in them.

If they don't, then the video could be flagged as "Made For Kids." Then, we wouldn't be able to make comments.

One question: how come u don’t have CGI Bert?
@NWR19913 ай бұрын
Because he had a rebuild in 1973, as mentioned in the Sodor book by the Rev.W.Awdry and my timeline focusing on the 70’s. It wouldn’t make any sense to have Bert as shown in the books and the TV series.
