I've been using those nws needle nose pliers at work and they are very good because they are thin, long and strong with a great grip.

The holes you are talking about at the bottom of the handles are for attaching a lanyard. A bungee cord that attaches to your belt for when working at heights.. nws seem like nice quality.

Try the locking water pump pliers….they blow knipex out of the water, by far. And I’m a knipex fan. But I’m a good tool fan first and foremost. Way more comfortable, sharper teeth, and cost least for a comfort grip model than the non comfort grip knipex versions.

Yes it is a great feeling when you get REAL!! tools in your hand. :-) I do not know why but I feel that the NWS have been better then i.e. Knipex or Snap-On every time I have had to choose so I am ended up with mostly NWS a few better Knipex and a single "bad" Bacho mini bolt cutter that soon will get a kick out of here, replaced maybe by a Snap-On. :-)
