What Up BC! NXT was an actual show for us and the talent to move on. I see Giulia and Oba taking the championships and leading the ship of NXT....Rok C is VERY ready for the MR and Trick Williams is also. Now where they might put them on the MR is up for grabs I just hope that Hunter doesn't mess this up. The Rock on the mic last night was actually funny and frustrating at the same time. I found myself yelling at the tv saying 'When you left you were pissed you come back and your roses and rainbows' LOL Great review and as always Keep On Rockin' BC!

This is JR9's New Year's Evil 2025 NXT Round Up: Positives: Giulia finally captured the NXT Women's title ending Rok-C's really good title reign. The match was strong but honestly not really anything to spectacular but definitely more good than bad. Just feel Giulia & Rok-C only really picked it up at the end but as said obviously still positive. Finish was Giulia hitting her Northern Lights driver to get the pin. Do still think Rok-C should've lost 3 months ago to Giulia as this was her 1st singles match since that point but at least they did it now. Rok-C should definitely just go up to MR in Rumble now absolutely no reason to stick around. Congrats to Giulia on the massive title win. Wasn't a fan of the Rock main event promo but he had a really good backstage segment with Ethan Page & Ava. Ethan was complaining to Ava about not being on New Year's Evil before the Rock appeared behind him. Saying it's good to meet him & he's heard a lot about him. Like how he broke someone's Jaw & fingers (Je'von & Cedric). Rock said if he needs anything he's to come to him they both shook hands with Ethan saying he likes the sound of that. Rock told him one more thing that Ava is the final boss of NXT & if they are going to cool then Ethan has to be cool with her. Ethan agreed & Rock said he'll see him on MR one day. Ethan left. Ava told Rock that them interacting is a pretty big moment & asked him what he was going to say later. Rock said he had no idea (which was evident later on). He asked Ava for some advice & she said he's never been in front of a NXT crowd & their passion is different. When he gets out there he will feel what is right to say. Ava then left. I just really enjoyed this was really cool seeing Ava & Rock interacting & she actually seemed more comfortable speaking than usual. Plus loved that he actually sput Ethan over & didn't humilate him with jokes like a lot of interactions over the years. Does show the company is very high on him which is great to see as Ethan is fantastic. Oba also captured the NXT title in a pretty good match with Trick & Eddy. They added a story element to the match as Oba earlier in the night attacked Eddy so he wasn't actually there at the beginning of the match. After Trick & Oba had a good back & forth with them having some really good chemistry. Thorpe did appear pulling the ref out of the cover from a Oba powerbomb. Oba then destroyed Eddy as he was still hurt from the attack before Trick hit a Trickshot on Oba but he managed to kick out. Trick went for another but Oba moved & Trick hit Eddy instead but also smashed his near into the chair Eddy had in his hand. Leading to Oba hitting another pop up powerbomb for the win. Very happy with the outcome as Oba had been great on NXT & there been too many slow burns to titles wins lately so refreshing just to see them pull the trigger when the momentum is there. Interesting that Trick got pinned so maybe he's going to MR aswell but huge congrats to Oba. Post match had a great visual of Giulia & Oba on the ramp with the NXT titles to really illustrate the major change to the top of NXT. Honestly just great to see both Iron Survivors win the titles during their shots, makes the match have more credibility to win. The visual really should've ended the night. Negatives: Stephanie Vaquer won a 4 way North American title #1 Contenders match beating Lola, Cora & Kelani. It was a decent match but don't think Vaquer should be in the midcard at all. As it just doesn't feel right. Plus the match that followed this made the entire thing pointless. When Fatal Influence lost to Gigi, Tatum & Shotzi with Shotzi pinning Fallon. So they had Fallon lost all credibility by being pinned by Shotzi again fed up with Jacy losing but at least she was nowhere near the pin. Fallon being pinned is just so ridiculous & does not make her look good before a potential Vaquer match. Backstage it got worst as Ava was talking to Fallon & Vaquer before Shotzi interrupted & claimed herself as the #1 Contender. So Ava made Shotzi vs Vaquer next week winner gets Fallon making the entire Fatal 4 way pointless. Since the winner has to have another match to get the shot they earned. Horrendous booking. Wasn't a fan of the Rock's in ring promo like felt it was kinda pointless him being on NXT let alone & definitely didn't agree with him main eventing the show especially when both World titles changed hands. It really didn't achieve anything for NXT as Rock spent half the time talking about the fans reaction to his hug with Cody on RAW. Overall: They got the 3 cup/title matches correct but outside of that the show was pretty weak especially with the unnecessary Rock appearance main eventing but did like the Ethan Page part. Fatal Influence's booking continues to be awful. It's getting to the Sonya, Shayna & Zoey territory now. However seeing Giulia & Oba win the World titles were really good moments which did save the show from being a complete disaster. Congrats to both of them hopefully we now get some fresh storylines in their divisions which has been desperately needed. Final grade: 6/10

Congrats to both Giulia and Oba Femi not only are they both bona fide Superstars within the company but they can also hold it down as champs 💯💯💯💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 much needed change /// ☕🔋⚡

I still can’t get over when the Rock first came back & said if he went to a restaurant where would he sit? “ @the bar, @ the booth, or at the head of the table “ we took care of the Cody business, now ca n we get to Rock vs. Roman!!
