Good morning, it's been a long time.. I'm talking to you because you certainly know the solution to my problem... There you go, today my exterior mirrors no longer fold down when closing my car with my car's remote control... do you have a solution or a tip? thanks in advance

Thanks for comment. Possible causes include fuse blows, mirror control switch failure, cable break, door control unit failure, retractable mirror motors failure. check for blown fuses. The fuse position is #1. www.newbeetle.org/threads/fuse-card-help.8806/#lg=thread-8806&slide=0 If the mirror angle adjustment works, assume that a mirror switch failure is the cause. parts number is 1J1959565E. Check Is the cable disconnected? between mirror control switch and mirror. And connect the OBD tool and check for any fault codes related to the door control unit.

@@NewBeetleTime thanks for your answer...I just push switch..but I think before it's function with remote control lock and unlock door ?...

@@user-ec7dt1lh1n thanks for comment. If you can't lock or unlock the doors with the remote control, it could be due to a dead battery in the key. Changing the batteries might solve the problem. If the mirror alignment is working and the mirrors do not fold, then a switch failure is the most likely cause. If the mirror alignment and fold both are not working, the most likely cause is a door control unit failure or a broken cable.

@@NewBeetleTime I don't know what the problem exactly because mirror retract only on push cmd mirror but before it's working with key remote control lock for closing mirror and unlock for open mirror,,,
