What most people do not realize is how incredible overrated and mediocre the Swedish team was. Sweden 1994 will probably go down in history as the most overrated team ever and the most undeserved winners of medals at any world cup. In the first match they were lucky to get a draw against an extremely weak Cameroon team. Cameroon was demolished by both Brazil and Russia and yet the Swedes barely avoided a defeat against them. Then Sweden played one relatively decent match against an unimpressive Russian team. In the last match they got a lucky and undeserved draw against a Brazilian team that had already qualified for the second round and therefore took the match very lightly. In the second round they met Saudi Arabia, probably the weakest team to ever make the second round in a world cup. In the quarter finals they were brutally outplayed by a far superior Romanian team, the Swedish victory after penalties was probably the most undeserved victory ever at a world cup. In the semi-final they were totally dominated by an extremely inefficient Brazilian team,, Brazil should have won that match 8-0, they were totally in dominance but their strikers were just horribly inefficient. In the bronze medal match they met a Bulgarian team that was very hung-over after several days of non-stop partying following their semi-final loss to Italy, Luxembourg or San Marino could have beaten Bulgaria on that particular day. The Swedish team, overall was a disgrace, and Thomas Brolin is probably the most overrated player ever - while Thomas Ravelli is the most overrated goal keeper ever.

Tror att du har fel: Ravelli, möjligtvis svenskarnas svagaste kort avgjorde mot rumänerna i ett episkt ögonblick. Björklund ung , hungrig och sylvass. Ljung med sitt spelsinne, före sin tid egentligen. Andersson vilken klippa(trots debaclet i öppningsmatchen, vilken revansch). Nilsson som löpte kring den konstanta ljushastigheten i varje matchminut, förmodligen på träning också. Mittfältet med Ingesson, Tern, Schwarz och Brolin, ett av de bästa någonsin. Mild som inhoppare inte oäven. Andersson som klinisk avslutare, lång med spänst dessutom. Och. som kronan på verket, Europas då absolut mest brutala målgenie på liten yta, Martin Dahlin.
