I get it - certain groups want to live in the primitive past because they likely feel they have nothing to offer in modern times. Monotonous drumming and chanting - technically 2nd graders could be taught to do the same.

So I'm sorry - I thought embracing the spirit was a personal private thing. As for it not being a performance, why did the performer ask the audience for applause at the end?
