Did Africans not know God before colonizers came here?I don't think so.Anyway,what the government did was instruct that such gatherings be regulated to remove Christianity from dominating over other religions in a place of learning while excluding other religions.

I grew up in Zim then moved to the UK, but I was surprised that there was no singing at assemblies here like we had in Zim. I loved singing during assembly, it was always so uplifting. In UK we just sat down and listened to a teacher speaking about something boring.
