Wow... So many gems in Denmark. Nyborg prior to this visit was the last stop in Funen before crossing the Storebælt bridge on the way to Copenahgen. Now it is a while little world and I would love to visit it during the Middle Ages Festival, which happens in the start of July.
The museum near the castle is free to visit and highly recommended. The beaches were very private as there was basically little traffic there. Denmark has so much coastline that probably most of the coastline is 'private' if you just get there. Then in Aarhus and Copenhagen, the havnebads are literally completely packed with bathers on hot summer days.
The castle is having a cafe and some other additions added now. It is closed. I was told it will open in some years.. wow years? must be some cafe they are building. When it finally does open, this will certainly be worth a visit.
Nyborg... a Danish gem.
