This is so much fun and so interesting, even to us people who will never be in the market for an apartment in NY. Thank you for publishing these videos.

I hope you read this! Ty for this . I will show it to my 17 yr old son.why ? Because I want to stress to him the importance of college. Education. If you desire to live well, it's the only way. Side note... I was born and raised in Chicago with similar buildings and my uncle went for a new build high-rise only to discover that a large rat was his roommate and was in the damn dishwasher out of all places! This was a luxurious penthouse unit. The building took care of it quickly and in their defense said big cities where breaking ground and construction it's unavoidable. I don't know how truthful that is but just wanted to add. When you showed the new build I had flashbacks!!

The left side "closet" in the Denizen unit isn't even actually a closet. If you look closely, there are hookups for laundry.
@theurvimehta Жыл бұрын
Yup! There was an option to have in unit W/D at an additional $80/month.

Thank you for sharing although the state of rental housing makes my stomach hurt. I pray you secure affordable and permanent housing.
@Rollimggiant Жыл бұрын
Lol permanent? In Manhatten? Doesn't happen. Unless you are a billionaire. Nobody can afford a home it's a renters world. Renting is not permanent. But it is a wonderful world exciting with the freedom of moving. Pros and cons to everything

Beautiful apartments! But man, I couldn’t do a studio! I have to have my living and sleeping space separate!

You don't know until you try it. It's all about how you set it up and the storage
@janetgriffin7779 Жыл бұрын
It really depends on how the space is set up. I’m in one but I have incredibly high ceilings and lots of amenities so it’s just right and super quiet.

Wouldn’t it be better to buy a house at that price point ? Love apartments and views and the whole vibe but whew, that’s a lot . Lucky ducky to be able to afford that.

Buying is not always better than renting, especially in NYC.

My goal is to own real estate there. The property owners make a killing off folks....
@lisagardner903 Жыл бұрын
I used to be a landlord and it is not as lucrative as you think. If you the owner of an apartment you must pay the mortgage, taxes, insurance, and monthly maintenance fee. If something breaks the owner must pay a small fortune to get it fixed. If there is a profit left over at the end of the year the landlord has to pay city, state, and federal taxes on that and usually you have an accountant prepare the taxes so there is a fee for that.

Unless you are a billionaire or desire a tent under the bridge lol not happening
@applejellypucci9 ай бұрын
yeah no I'm a Brooklyn tenant and a pipe burst in my kitchen ceiling last week. I did not pay a dime to get it fixed, but if I were responsible for the bill I would not want to be a landlord for that sole reason. Thousands in damage.
@RyanLS Жыл бұрын
You couldn’t pay me to live here. So I’m glad there’s people willing to pay those prices Lol. Cool video.
@Rollimggiant Жыл бұрын
Why not ? Where do you choose to live? Unless you grew up with the city you just can't understand. Having all the excitement of the city ,you can not live with out it. The culture, museums. Art, music attending concerts, theater, ballet, fine dining , great schools, lake, and fine shopping . Being exposed to many different people the parks always something going on. I grew up in Chicago and recently moved to Vegas . I wouldn't be able to live anywhere else .

I lived lifelong in CHICAGO. I am 53 never a victim of a crime. In fact nobody I know was a victim of crime. So it's not what you think. Sure you have to be careful but I would not change a thing . At 53 I moved to Vegas . I love it but I miss CHICAGO ❤.
