Watched NYCB on tour in Copenhagen tonight, and it was extraordinary. Especially as someone who has grown up watching almost exclusively Bournonville, the change of pace is exhilarating!

The most ideal music for ballet are waltzes, such as in the classical ballets. Other than that....it's too symphonic for me.

she's got the body and technique, but I just don't like that type of music. I prefer popular music over the last 60 years and sadly, that's not what ballet choreographers are doing.
