The song, the glitter flying in the air and the laughter of the people made me feel sad instead. How I wish for world peace.

The truth is the worst Lion Dance I have seen is in New York and they do not know how to perform the dance as so many countries doing so well with the dance especially in UK, Canada, Australia, France, Spain and many others ...sorry to say this as they really need to have their act of dancing correctly ...

True. l learned lion dance in 1982 and from Muar, a city renowned for lion dance. These lion dancers are really sub-standard.

The liondance turned lgbt. You cant blame them. Instead of honing their skills, they studied different gender everday 😂

The dragon and lion dances in Chinatown have given the Western world a stereotype of the Chinese New Year. In fact, the Chinese New Year is not like this. The Lunar New Year is celebrated for 16 days in total, and each day has a different meaning and celebration. New Year's Eve, which is the day before the New Year, People gather together to have a reunion dinner, set off fireworks and firecrackers at night to ward off evil and drive away a monster called Xi. On the first day of the Lunar New Year, they worship ancestors, perform dragon and lion dances, visit temple fairs, and on the second day of the Lunar New Year, they visit relatives and friends to send New Year greetings. 5. To welcome the God of Wealth, fireworks and firecrackers will be set off from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. on this day. During the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first lunar month, there will be lantern displays.

Overseas Chinese struggle to maintain traditional values. The western culture devalue eastern cultures.
