Being from 🇨🇦 and I truly love photography, I had to stop by the store while I was visiting New York right before Covid. Such an amazing experience ! If you can marine it, they have it. I tried so many different lenses, purchase a carbon tripod and must have spent over 3 hours in the store. The staff was truly kind and helpful.

Very interesting, Ariel! When I visited the store in the 90s the space for the public was much smaller, but they already had this transport system that you see at the ceilings. Already then they were known for their honesty, unlike some other photography stores in NYC who engaged in practices such as bait and switch. I can’t wait to visit them again in the hopefully not too distant future.

This is awesome! B&H is a bajillion times better than Amazon and Best Buy for buying tech (not just cameras). I have been ordering from them for a few years now.

Was there the third week of Feb 2020 tp purchase a tripod & accessories. Pretty close to when everything started shutting dow to the public. The sales person spent a good 2-3 hours with me. Took the legs of & reassembled so I would know how to clean it properly if need be. Put the video head on & made sure the package fit in the tripod case I purchased. I arrived there in mid afternoon & didn’t have time to look around the whole store. Maybe in 2023 I’ll make it back. I didn’t think about until a couple of weeks later but, I should of gave the sales person a $$ tip. Best B&H tour vid I have seen to date.

Now I really want to go there! I’d like to build a creative setup from the bottom up. Sony, Lenses, Audio, Lighting, Travel etc. but the shipping and import duty will cost too much to bring to my country. I was considering using a forwarding company but when I run the numbers, it costs less to buy a plane ticket, visa, accommodation, for 3-4 days buy what I need to buy and carry it back as luggage. Now I see this and want to experience B&H too. Thanks for sharing. Definitely making a plan now.

Hello Ariel, Jose from Puerto RIco. That was such a wonderful tour of B&H man! That store is on my bucket list to go to someday. I'd love to just explore it from top to botton even if it takes me a couple of days. I've ordered items online from them as well as Adorama too. But B&H is surely the flagship of camera stores. 🔴🔴When I was in highschool walking around & saw a small store where next door was all brick and stones open space , the store has big camera with lens on it then I bookmark the store on Google Map which I lost it forever then I cannot find a store ever again then recently on 2021 after the pandemic I visit there and then I don't recognize but I see a 2 floor Tower of bnh & I was shocked😱😱

One of the reasons why I love New York, New York. I worked for Fry's, and Best Buy. Awful companies. I wish I could work for a company like B&H. I have an expensive knowledge of tech.

I used to be interested in cameras but not now. EVF is not fun for shooting but I still have 3 Lumix's cameras. There are famous camera shops in Tokyo which are "BIC Camera" and "Yodobashi Camera". Lay-outs of Interior design are similar to B&H's very much. The most memorable camera for me was Minolta's High-Matic "E" in 1970's.
