So if the V, J, and L connection happened, the V would've gone via the now orange (M) via Christie St tunnel.. to Broadway Junction (J) line then switch to the (L) side of Broadway Junction to Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy vice-versa

Yea it did but then those R160s were eventually put on the (E), (F), and (R) because the Liberty Avenue EL couldn't handle the weight of the R160s but the problem was corrected a long time ago so now the will get R179s and so will the (C)

That's not true. The R160's are not restricted from any line, and the A already runs R46's which are the heaviest cars in the system. I believe the A revenue tested some R160's, but they were never in regular service there. The R160's were originally assigned to Coney Island Yard and Jamaica Yard for the 5 car sets, and East New York Yard for the 4 car sets. East New York gave some of their fleet to 207th Street Yard in 2013 so that the C could run some newer trains, but they were given back to East New York when the R179's came in. Coney Island Yard also gave most of their fleet to Jamaica Yard in exchange for their R46's, but they still have 11 10 car trains, all Siemens traction.

Exautical really bro R46s are far heavier than R160s, HELL THE R46s ALONG SIDE ANY OTHER 75 FOOT LONG SUBWAYS CAR WHICH INCLUDES R44s R46s R68s AND R68As ARE LITERALLY BANNED FROM OPERATING ON THE BMT EASTERN DIVISION LINES WHICH INCLUDE THE J Z M and L trains due to them having sharper curves being too heavy and because of higher safety concerns they were deemed too dangerous to operate on the BMT eastern division lines, so let’s be real if the A line can’t handle R160s THERES NO WAY ON GODS GREEN EARTH IT CAN HANDLE R46s, just being honest.

Nice video Brian and the announcement at 0:00-0:23 was first used in Ocotber 2006 to October 2007 when the R160s were running on the A train before they went to the N and Q trains

You are 100% wrong. The R160's were on the (A) from September to November 2006. Soon after, those two sets were sent to Coney Island Yard for (N) service.

+I'll take a potato chip.... And eat it! I can assure you, it is a lock the (A) line will receive NTT's when the R211s come in. The TA is slated to purchase the base order in the 2015-2019 Capital Plan. The one downside is it would take about three years for the pilot/test train to arrive on property.

Given the current arrangement, it must use Single Unit R62A's. With the pending rehabilitation of the Times Square Shuttle Platforms, it makes sense using NTT's and ship those R62A's over to the mainline.

@ Broadway Lafayette the V can switch to the M tracks to enter Delancey Essex then go along the Jamaica line until Broadway Junction, where it can switch to the L line to Atlantic Avenue. That switch is how L trains terminate at Broadway Junction if it’s a shuttle from Canarsie to Bway Jct
