The homeless shelters themselves already suffer from horrific violence and crime when the doors are locked each night, from what I've heard from multiple NYC homeless who've chosen the streets to avoid all that. They also told me that the security/staff running the shelters let gang members and other criminals in among the homeless in those shelters, if I remember correctly.

They allow the problem to escalate then decides to take action ((action that should've been taking before they even crossed the boarder)) once the problem now becomes even a bigger problem pretty much pass the point of no return. Witnesses made it seem pretty clear, the guy is supposed to be let go free of charges the guy had a knife stabbed his tires who knows if he would have stopped there, but what i do know is the cops would not be charged so the guy is supposed to be let go. And sue the other drivers insurance for the damage and tires.
