Congrats on securing an apartment! Apartment hunting in new york is kind of a lose lose experience - either you lose by paying too much money or you lose on the space you are getting 🤣but when you find something you are happy enough with you will then make it your home and build great memories. It's common to want to live in Manhattan when first moving to NYC (i did this as well), but by no means is it a requirement. Brooklyn has so much to offer and Downtown Brooklyn/Dumbo are 1-2 stops away from being in the city and often times you have more subway line access here then you'd get in some Manhattan neighborhoods. Especially coming from out of new york, Brooklyn can have slightly more space and I find is a nice relief/contrast to the hustle of Manhattan. Best of luck with the move in and setup! look forward to seeing more

Totally get that, it’s not for everyone and I don’t think it will be for me forever either! For a moment in time though it’s a dream. It’s nice to feel like you’re right where you’re meant to be and there’s a lot of peace in that. It’s been a wild handful of months

Congrats man! I meant to comment a few videos ago for you to look into Brooklyn over Manhattan. I have a cousin who lived in Manhattan (east village and then Grenwich) for about 4 years and then moved to Brooklyn and was sooo much happier. Yeah Manhattan is “the spot” but it’s hard to feel like you have a moment to breathe and Brooklyn definitely gives you that, while also still having a bit of the hustle mentality of Manhattan!

I can totally see that!! I’ve had moments in manhattan (like when I went citizen on 5th ave) that made me feel so overstimulated. Brooklyn is a happy medium and you can easily get that manhattan fix by jumping on the subway just a stop away! Greenwich is boujee though that’s sick!!

Ever since I visited NYC right before covid, I’ve been obsessed with it and studied all the more affordable but best views around the city and that building I remember because of the view of the Brooklyn Bridge which is completely amazing. So happy for you!
