this was one of my all time favorite shop tours. not because i am a fan of NASCAR, but the appreciation for the detail, engineering and execution. amazing that the entire facility was spotless.

I would laugh if there wasnt a single Haas CNC machine in the shop. The team deserves to do better in F1 i still hunt for them to win. Max Verstapen is my fav driver at the min - not Lewis for some strange reason. I was brought up watching Williams at the top of the leader board in Honda cars, so i still hop that one day by magic their fortunes change. Great shop tour, many thanks

@hansdietrich833 жыл бұрын
The Nascar ruleset is so weird. Things like building a car for every track is ridiculus. It basically forces new and smaller teams to have a minimum investment of 16 cars to be competitive. It also kind of allows building weaker cars, because you don't have to rely on a broken car to run the next weekend
@jr5401233 жыл бұрын
Won't say who I work for but it looks so werid seeing a 310b fifth axis on the right size machine and not a VF3 that has to go to special spots on its travel to do a tool change.

When the owner (Gene Haas) is providing every one of those machines for free, you better machine everything you can. All the other teams have to buy the Haas machines first. It’s why he can afford the F1 team too.

Those machines are a drop in the bucket for the overall budget, it’s not like they are the expensive machines like the NASCAR engine teams use.
