IMO the turbo is there so it compresses the air thats coming from the front, with such velocity the air is somewhat compressed to get into the turbo.

what a lot of people don't get, when it comes to having an 8 second Honda, its not the having, its the building... its a lot harder to build a 8 second Honda than it is to build an 8 second muscle car or fox body... but that's the whole fun in it is the challenge of the build...

Because although these cars are stupidly powerful they have quite a narrow powerband, its much quicker to just bang it off the limiter until you reach the speed you are after than changing into second which would just bog it down. Hope that helps bro.
