I wouldn't have thought watching drains being cleaned could be so much fun, but such is the case. Your videos are very nicely done. I hope those folks take care of all those soggy carpets ASAP.

Big fan of yours. As fellow drain tech in Atlanta, Ga I think you do such a great job clearing and cleaning drain and sewer lines. I like that you use the drum machine alot and show how much it can do in this time everybody is quick to jet out lines the drum machine is a timeless tried and true method for clearing roots soft and hard blockages. Don't get me wrong there is always a time and place for jetting lines and im not against it all but the drum machine in my opinion will be my stater before jetting. It's more cost effective and less of hassle in most cases. Keep the video coming I learn so much from them. Your a true master of your craft.

I was watching the video and when you first cleared it i quickly looked at the time and I'm like no there's something wrong here or it's going to be a multi-job video and then when you went back and all that foam came up I was thinking oh this is going to be a good one lol those look like some pretty thick roots at some point. Quick question. Donald, do you guys ever do a video inspection? Like do you do that yourself or does the company do that? Thanks for posting this brother. I really appreciate it. That foam looks like a chemical reaction of something the customer chucked in the drain. After you unclogged the house side, the chemical moved downstream in the foamy river and started to react again. Many roots.

Question: does Drain-O or other pipe-clearing products damage your equipment? As in, do the products eat away or stain the metal snake?
@sewerrat76122 жыл бұрын
Some of them are caustic enough to damage cables seen most often in commercial/industrial buildings. Ones that do will damage metal sewers as well.
@AlBracco8792 жыл бұрын
Damaged equipment is replaceable Worse things getting splashed in the face People should read labels especially when you see a scull and crossbones Liquid drain cleaner has sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide Not rocket science Just saying

If it sits there long enough, it can corrode pipes, but my machine never parks up for long and runs through another drain within half-hour to an hour the most, so no worries here 😉

You should carry Lithium 9 volt batteries ( for the smoke detectors ) Smoke Detectors, the cheap ones that use just the battery CO/LPG/Methane plug in detectors with 9 volt battery backup To sell to anyone who doesn't have them. You should tell them that every basement should have a smoke detector and a Combination carbon monoxide / LPG / NG plug in digital detector with a 9 volt battery backup Ideally you want them on every floor, but the CO and Methane are heavier than air and will pool up in the basement So many people die each year from CO and there have been several high profile cases of houses exploding because of a gas leak, either LPG or NG You don't even realize it until it is too late These explosions have damaged multiple houses up to a block away Everyone should have them, and you are in the perfect position, you are already in their home, in the basement in an official capacity. Asking them while you are working if they have a CO and Methane detector and explain why they need them and references to local people who have died from CO and the natural gas explosions, and tell them you carry the plug in model with the 9 volt backup battery which is the best on the market for the price and has a digital display that shows the level at all times, it is a great idea. Just as a service for your customers you sell them and will unbox it and plug it in for them. And the 9 volt batteries for the smoke detectors, tell them you sell the lithium batteries that last at least 3 times longer than a standard alkaline battery lasts. Here in Quakertown PA on Christmas morning we had a house where a fire started and the batteries were dead in the smoke detectors and the father and daughter were killed. The mother and son got out. Those are the stories that made me carry batteries and replace them for free when I worked in media and would go to apartments for interviews and I would hear the beep My chief engineer had his wife and daughter die when fire started in his house His son and he got out, but his wife and daughter didn't make it I have a smoke detector in every room of my house The smoke moves so fast You need every second
