I like your idea of choosing starts from magazines. When I first started cross stitching I subscribed to Cross Stitch and Country Crafts, I have all their issues. I also get the JCS ornament issue every year. I can't wait to start looking through them and picking some to start. My birthday is in January, so I also need to pick my birthday start. The 12x12 sounds like so much fun, this will be my first year participating since I am getting back into cross stitch after several years away. Thank you for the inspiration!

I've got my treasured magazines and when my mom died, I shared most of hers. So many just wanted s couple. I have my reassured patterns and magazines all gathered in one wonderfully basket. I can get lost looking through that basket, oh my goodness.

Ican’t wait for 12x12 stitching. I have 48 magazines to choose from and to start off the NYE 12x12 I am choosing a pattern from Cross Stitch Gold. I think it’s a wonderful idea to look through our magazines and I’m going to make this a priority for 2024. I have 10 WIPS and 2 new starts lined up. I’m ready to spend New Years Eve with you, Kea! Let the stitching begin!!

I recently returned to cross stitching after 30-40 years away, I'm a hoarder, so I have a stash of "vintage" cross stitch magazines and patterns boxed up in my house somewhere. I need to go on a scavenger hunt soon! What a great idea to use magazines for the New Year's Eve 12x12!

I’ve been collecting for many years so safe to say I must have over 100. That’s after I lost a whole box during a move😢. I found your channel after I watched Liz Matthews. I’m looking forward to the 12 x12 New Years stitch!

I have about 8 years worth of Cross Stitch and country crafts from the late 80s into the 90s. I've been looking through and finding treasures to stitch, so I love this New years idea!

Cool idea! I just recently got back into stitching and went through all of my cross-stitch magazines to see what I had. I marked loads of projects I want to do, so this is perfect timing. Not sure I can manage starting twelve projects in one day, but I will certainly be stitching! I have a lot of magazines. I subscribed to Just CrossStitch for many years starting in the mid-90s and picked up various magazines at thrift stores too. I purged some mags a few years back, but kept most of them. I’m a collector at heart. 😊. I probably have at least 150. I love all the possibilities!

I went through all my magazines a couple of years ago and only kept the ones that had charts I liked in them. The last 2 years I have been going to my husband's work conference and each day I started a new project from the magazines I kept. The oldest chart dated from the early 1980s. So, I am using my old magazine charts using 28 and 32 ct fabrics from stash. It really has been fun stitching "retro" for about half my yearly finishes and more modern for the other half. My shelf space of magazines went from about 18' to just over 3'.

I have magazines from the 90’s… many many many. I gave away a bunch but I kept the ones that have tabbed charts. Looking forward to NYE 12 x12. Had a blast last year.

This is a great idea! I probably have 80+, including a bunch from when i worked abroad. This may give me the impetus to actually start some of the projects I've marked off!.

Just across your channel….. really enjoyed your content. I have started cross stitching for a long time. On and off but my goodness it’s so different now with all the new patterns and fabulous fabrics people stitch on. I’m thinking 🤔 about getting back to this amazing hobby again. I need to go and hunt for some of my old cross stitch magazines which I had purchased some time ago. ❤❤❤ Carol from Belfast ( N Ireland)
