I'm still intrigued by a potential phone call to the pats to inquire about Joe Milton and what the patriots plans are for him. I think the kid can play... and he's not gonna play in New England and the Pats are set with Maye. His contract is dirt cheap, it probably wouldn't cost a ton of draft capital to trade for him. What's the worst that can happen? If the kid turns out to be good, it would be seen as one of the most cunning moves this team has made in decades and it's not like you're gonna need to give up 1st 2nd or potentially 3rd round picks to get him. If he doesn't turn out to be good, well then you're out a day 2 or a couple day 3 picks(probably), you can keep him on as a backup for the remainder of his dirt cheap rookie deal, and maybe you're in a position to go after your future franchise guy in a BETTER QB draft class down the road. This class isn't good, I'm not sold on the idea that anyone besides potentially Cam Ward will be a true NFL starter and gamechanger in this league. I wouldn't have taken Sanders OR Ward ahead of guys like Bo Nix in last year's class and that's before we knew how well Bo was gonna play this year. To me it just makes sense to look into it and potentially try to offer up a trade for him if the Pats are willing. Assuming you can't get Cam Ward or Sanders. Daboll gets a "rookie QB" he can develop, the guy has intangibles, he showed a lot of accuracy, he's got a cannon for an arm, he made one of the craziest plays of the year in their week 18 matchup, if not for the fact it was called back for holding. I know the Bills were playing quite a few backups on defense, but you can't watch his tape in that game and tell me he doesn't show some real potential and promise. Showed legitimate accuracy and touch, he can use his legs, big arm, prototypical size at 6'5. Schematically he's the kinda guy you want for Daboll's style of offense, and I'd much rather take a chance on a guy like that, versus going after someone like Justin Fields, Russ, or any of the other journeymen out there right now. Apparently a few teams saw the same thing I did because the rumor mill fired up immediately with reports of multiple qb needy teams reaching out to the Patriots about him after that game. Giants could've been one of them, no idea.

This team has playmakers at WR and TE. Nabers, Wan'Dale, Hyatt, Slayton (if he's still here), Bellinger and Johnson. As for the running backs, it remains to be seen. They've all had their ups and downs with good plays and fumbles. I wouldn't mind seeing more from Eric Gray and Dante Miller unless they decide to move on from them. I wasn't big on the Devin Singletary signing but I understood the need for a stable veteran RB after Saquon's departure.

Depending on cost I'd take Fields as the bridge for 2y sit Cam for a up to a year ideally. Try to boost Fields' stock in the league and trade him off for some comp (either draft or player). All goes well, we got a nice lil budding star throwing to Nabers n hopefully a good WR2 (Higgins🙏) and we walk away with extra resources from restoring Fields. Idealistic I know but I swing for the fences my boy!

No matter who the QB is, if they do not improve the O Line [for about the 10th year], then it won't matter. Watch DJ flourish with other teams, as Saquan did with an Eagles line with 3 pro-bowlers. I gave Evan Neal EVERY benefit, but I am now convinced his position is GUARD. And he will be very good there. That would solidify the line, although I would still prefer an upgrade at RG over Elemunor, who would a valuable back-up.

He has gone with the plays he was given to run. They have great running backs there and a great O-line. His receivers are not what you would consider very talented with the exception of Tyler Warren. And a lot of his incompletions are a direct result of his receivers not being opened so he has chosen to throw away and live to play another day. A very cerebral baller and only 20 years old. His size and sneaky mobility has reminded a lot of coaches of Ben Rothlisberger …

His passing accuracy downfield is exceptional … and his ability to go to 2nd and 3rd receivers is also very good for someone his age. He is still green but his ability is obvious and if Sheduer and Cam are both gone I would have no problem if the Giants chose him. Another QB he has been likened to by NFL coaches is Josh Allen. We never heard anything like that being said of Daniel Jones. Ever !!

I know you probably forgot about this Daniel Jones, quarterback for the New York Giants, had a 43.5% deep completion percentage in the 2022 season, which ranked ninth in the NFL. He was also ranked seventh overall in the NFL for deep passing performance that season. Here are some other stats for Jones' deep passing: Career deep throw percentage: 34.1% 2022 deep passing stats: 119.3 passer rating, which was the third-highest in the NFL

And how many teams never gave Tom Brady a shot at making it in the NFL. It’s all a crap shoot. I actually was hoping the Giants last season would have taken Bo Nix. He seemed to have that IT factor. Am wishing now they had. I didn’t want them to get rid of Saquon or Xavier because of their locker room leadership. They should have paid them based on their human value along with their talent. We need to build a team on numerous Good players not on individual superstar players. We need a good QB not necessarily a superstar QB

Watch film of Tetairoa McMillan and imagine him on the field with Nabers. Should be the R1 pick. Giants need more threats. Defenses will focus on that duo and open up other areas of the offense. Beef up the O-line (again) and almost any QB will shine. Too risky to take a R1 QB in this draft class.

How about Kyle Trask? He's played really well when he's had to step in. He's got several years experience under his belt. I'd love to get Stafford for a year or two until a better draft class comes. I'd be happy with Fields or Milton. I'd love McCarthy but I really don't see Vikings choosing Darnold over him. The only choice I'd want us to avoid like the plague is Sanders.
