This is possibly the best sounding acoustic guitar sample library. It's got a very nice richness to it.

I’m personally not getting the guitar sonic extension as I won’t use it much, but Unclean machine and undercurrent have my attention. I can’t believe how amazing these sound expansions are sounding, especially for the price you guys are charging for it. One sonic extension has more versatility and playability than the entirety of the stock omnisphere imo. Absolutely amazing guys! Can’t wait to see what the software updates will bring in terms of new features and patches in the future. Much love from Switzerland!

Alright the verdict is fully in. When this library dropped I had already began scoring a 25 hour audiobook I’m recording on the life of Jesus. For some reason that Classical guitar nylon sound has been working to score it. I began with Picked Nylon from NI and thought it was amazing and still do. But after throwing this thing into the mix I have to say there is something better and different here. The inspiration and playability of this library is massive. It is extremely easy to mix and get great tones out of. And it sounds modern and good. I was a little underwhelmed when I saw that it was another nylon guitar instrument. But this thing speaks loud and clear that it is really a masterpiece.

@SpectrasonicsVIDEO10 ай бұрын
The performance requirements don’t change depending on which mics you have active, as all relevant samples are loaded into RAM when you load the Patch. You can view the general system requirements for Omnisphere here: bit.ly/4cf8gFQ Feel free to contact our Support team at info@spectrasonics.net if you have any other questions! 🙂

Can the 2 New effects be used in our DAW outside of Omnisphere? E.g on a vocal or other software instruments?
@SpectrasonicsVIDEO10 ай бұрын
These new effects work exclusively within Omnisphere and are available on any Patch, not just Nylon Sky ones!

Got a quick question. I'm struggling with disk space and kinda dont want to install 60+GB core library until i get a New SSD. On the other hand, i can really use this kind of realistic guitar. Can i use this without installing the core steam library? Kinda like kontakt bank (on omnisphere of course)?
@SpectrasonicsVIDEO11 ай бұрын
In order to install and use Nylon Sky, a full Omnisphere installation is required. If you need any help getting set up, please feel free to email our Tech Support team at info@spectrasonics.net 🙂

will you guys ever consider a dedicated hardware keyboard that runs the sounds? i don't have a powerful enough laptop and for some reason dealing with laptop kind of kills my musical vibe
@SpectrasonicsVIDEO3 жыл бұрын
Using our instrument in the included standalone app on a laptop is incredibly easy…no need to boot or learn a DAW if you just want to play!
@jeffblack50243 жыл бұрын
I’d pay for a hardware keyboard that could host Spectrasonics software, similar to how Roland’s System 8 will run their analog cloud instruments.
@matthewbalser22353 жыл бұрын
The only problem with this (trust me I want it too) is that hardware keyboard manufacturers use heavily compressed audio files to make for faster loading times and lower hardware requirements. The reason why Spectrasonics instruments so as great as they do is because their file sizes are MASSIVE due to multi-sampling and uncompressed files. The cost to produce such a keyboard that could hold all of their samples and load them quick enough would be astronomical. So until flash memory storage can catch up to the hardware requirements, we will be stuck bringing a midi keyboard and computer to every gig :/

Did you record actual chords or does the strumming trigger one-shot samples of individually sampled strings?
@SpectrasonicsVIDEO3 жыл бұрын
Triggering individual notes, complete with deep multisampling, round robins, and other modern magic. Combine that with the new Humanizing features in the Arpeggiator, and you get some super realistic chord articulations. :)

great name for the instrument. sounds great. there should be separate "realism" controls for string squeaks and everything else. squeaks are totally annoying and distracting. i would set squeaks to zero every time, and maybe play around with the other "realism" levels at about 20%. but string squeaks would always get set to zero. it looks like if we want the other realism aspects, we are stuck with squeaks as well. that should not be. squeaks are awful. squeaks might sound "authentic" in a solo track. but in a dense mix, squeaks are often annoying distractions that do nothing for the music except harm it. i guess in an ideal world, you would have independent "realism" controls for all of the components (string release, various thuds, squeaks, etc.) but at minimum we should be able to turn squeaks off independently of the other noises. even a simple "squeaks off" toggle button next to the "Realism" knob would be a 745% improvement in the instrument (i did some sophisticated math to arrive at 745%). so how about a quick 745% improvement to the instrument by giving us a "squeaks off" button?
@Drfresh14023 жыл бұрын
Man, you really hate squeaks. I think it would sound totally unrealistic without squeaks.
