While everyone is worried about bugs and worms, Reefdudes just dumps them all in without dipping/scrubbing 🤣

Shoreline Corals is a gem.

Wow! Tank is totally looking great. Love the scape too. Cant wait to watch this tank grow. I would pass on the nudis and try and find a copperband at all costs. I did the nudis a couple times and they just starve out too fast and the aiptasia comes back a couple months later. Expensive bugs to not seal the deal permanently.

Thanks! Sadly i did add one but the yellow tanks was a big ass and harasses him to his demise. I may have to remove the yellow tank to add a new one… or maybe relocate him to the sump for a month or so until a CBB settles in

Gogiopora, a beautiful coral, loves nutrients in water, likes polyps moving in a wave-like pulative mode, well I love these corals, I'll follow your actions

I also set my skimmer to only come on half the time to up nutrients a bit :)

👍 was wondering what you were going to do about the Aiptasia...
@ReefDudes14 күн бұрын
Going to order some f aiptasia and prob 8 or so Berghia :)
@Stompec14 күн бұрын
@ReefDudes 8berghia is not enough for such a large tank, think about helmon,
@ReefDudes14 күн бұрын
They will lay eggs and more will come.. it takes takes a while! The big ones I can hit with f aiptasia so it’s more about getting all the wee ones that pop up. Ok maybe I’ll order 10 :).
@Stompec14 күн бұрын
@ReefDudes I had 15 pieces at home I have a cube of 81 liters, no berghia survived, so far I wonder where they went

I’m a year into the hobby and torches/gonis are keeping me busy enough that I haven’t got bit by the SPS bug yet. Lol

My other tank is very sps heavy mixed reef so it’s fun to mix it up with the other tank and make it all flowy!

Gonis are pretty safe on the pest front. I gave it a visual inspection and remounted “most” to a new chunk of rock rubble. I did leave a few on the orig tile. Dipping fresh stuff is stressful on it so I am less agressive at it unless I see something to make me worry. Thanks!

Do you dip your Goni’s before adding them
@ReefDudes11 күн бұрын
Depends on who i get them from and if i see anything of concern. Generally i remove them from their base and re mount them. In general gonis are relatively good for not having pests there is some goni eating nudis but they are not as common.

Forget the gonis, I see some beautiful aptasia in your tank. 😂
