I am so old, it took me several viewings to realize the pay phone dates this vid more than the whole row of cars. 😁

I always got chills when Andy says, "but Jenny was alive when you last saw her??"

This was one of the best episodes in the entire series. Andy was cheated out of his First Grade after solving this case. His professionalism with the victim's father and going above and beyond was what solved this case.

Wellllll...he did neglect to read the guy his Miranda rights. In real life, very possible the case would have gotten tossed.

Can talk about how this scene is shot for a second. Andy is trying to multitask on the phone, a man breathing down his neck, and andy jr trying to buy a car. All the quick, shakey shots with focus jumping from Andy to Andy Jr. & Mr. Bucci. Beautiful framing
@samsung32543 жыл бұрын
I know. 👍 It raises the urgency of Andy's suspicion. His cop instincts were running; trying to watch out for junior AND maybe get some redemption/results! Stay Safe! 👍

Andy was multitasking through this scene as he purchased the car for Andy Jr. and investigating the case at the same time.

Once Andy Zero's in on a "Target", he is NOT quitting till all of His EYES are dotted and his TEES are crossed. With all that was going on he was NOT going to let Mr. White slip away and possibly never be seen again.......unfortunately like poor Mr. Bucci's daughter. Great follow up clip! Cheers From Ohio

Reminder that so much good police work is not about movie script type of stuff, it's the tedious work of phone calls, lists, BMV registrations. And instinct. All of the above from Sipowicz in this. One of the few shows to show real police work. And doggedness. Hypothetically this guy maybe wasn't involved. But the box of questioning this guy needed checked. Good police work means follow it up (just in case).

I skipped ahead and watched this episode last night. He had the guy hovering over him to use the phone, his kid nervous about spending too much money, father who wants to know what’s going on. I would have hit someone by now.

For the 4000th time: never, ever, NEVER, talk to a cop without a lawyer. You say, "am I under arrest? No. Then give me your card detective, I'll call my lawyer, and we'll set up a meeting later this week some time, in about four days maybe."
@JR-zv6qm2 жыл бұрын
Say what you want tough guy, but people with nothing to hide, don't break the polices balls. I'm sure a solid citizen such as yourself does have his lawyer on speed-dial. "For the 4,000th time..." you're a creep. I know who you voted for.
@tacoheadmakenzie931110 ай бұрын
True, but that would make for a boring show. I once asked a lawyer friend of mine how realistic the original "Law&Order" series was, and he said that it was about as realistic as it could be, considering the fact that it couldn't put the audience to sleep with how boring court proceedings actually are
