Grew up 82nd & 37th ave, went to ps 69 on 37th ave in 1970’s. & Pulitzer middle school on Northern Blvd. JH was the best, we used to have Birthday parties at Jahn’s Ice cream and the variety of stores was like Steinway street in Astoria.. but even back then you knew not to go passed 88th or Junction Blvd bc it became either Ghetto down by Astoria Blvd or all Colombian by Roosy… and the Coke and Herion drug boys owned Corona… I left in ‘99 and it was all Indian (Hindu) by 74st….
