NYPD says no tear gas was used in Columbia building

The New York Police Department said there have been no injuries as dozens of protesters have been arrested. An NYPD spokesperson also said no tear gas was used in Hamilton Hall. Officers instead used flash-bang devices as they moved into the hall.

...but tear gas - *banned on battlefields* - was used on peaceful protesters on several other campuses...not to say that I take NYPD's denials at face value. The question is, did they carry tear gas at any rate? Were they not going to use it? Were Tasers used by any chance? I suspect they'll deny using any if they did or had planned to. Some *"professional* outside agitators" the Hamilton Hall occupiers turned out to be, not putting up much of a fight, as would be expected of "anti-government anarchists"!
