Obviously he was carrying, that is why he was so desperate to get them out first, otherwise i'm sure he would just go with them. You could hear it in his voice that he screwed up by having a weapon on him and just wanted them out so he could hide his piece. Just my 2 cents on it

@@patrickr3647 I watch the entire video again. Actually he was not in possession, the call was about him pushing a female. The weapon he was using was one of the Officer duty firearm. He overpowered the officer and was able to fire off several shots.

@@bettyswift-ramirez315 I know that, that was what it eventually led until, him taking the firearm of the office. Why would he do it? If I put my self in his position, and lets say he was carrying, and knew that he was going to jail for a long time if they would find his firearm on him. That might had him go, no i aint going back to jail and then had nothing to loose, its maybe why he went for the officers gun. Who knows. Was just the only thing that made sense in my head.

If he was avoiding prison time well he is going there, all by his actions. There was no weapon found on his person nor in his apartment. All he had to do was to Comply.

As many of these as I watch it still shocks me when I see such "professionals" have such poor skills. There were 4 officers in that room and two of them ran away. One then comes back in firing into the pile of people, one handed, and not taking aim. I would imagine ballistics will determine the officers were shot by P.O. Lafaille. Congratulations NYC in creating a society that feels they can take cops guns away from them, and for allowing such shoddy police officers in the field.

Female Officer can not shoot at all. Weapons handling inadequate and the Caucasian female Officer turned her back on the threat and proceeded to leave the apartment instead of facing the threat while reversing her way out of the apartment. Your NYPD Officers 73rd Pct needs to train more and definitely need more Range time. This could have been way to tragic for all parties involved. Perp had no business disarming that Officer, terrible job controlling the suspect.

Listen everyone. When police are call to an incident its best you comply and not fight back. You will always be in the wrong. This all could have been avoided if you just follow the command of the police. They are there for a reason. If you don't then this will happen if you take their guns. Everyone is talking about the suspect, but theres multiple mistakes made by the cops. First, why are you telling the suspect his charges 🤔.plus, he took your gun because you didn't have the hood secured. And there's no strength in your fat body to defend the attack. And wtf are those two female cops doing shooting from feet away at a pile of men grappling on the floor. Poorly trained, unfit, and undisciplined NYPD that's what you have left.
