Gallant was winging it no plans. We had 0 plays off the draw under Gallant with the same guys taking draws we had at least 8 goals off the draw.

​@@wardhaskell I actually liked Gallant a lot....though I do agree that Lav is a more prepared coach. Gallant seemed like a guy that had an open door to his players and someone that they could trust. Lav also genuinely seems to care about his players.... both are good guys.....but it's obviously arguable that Lav had a more consistent group and earned top record in the league with this team.....add the fact that they already dismissed their first opponent in a sweep and Turk lost first round against the Devils......it' speaks favorably to Lav.

Because the Canes are a fast and finesse team. Chytil is the x-factor for winning the Stanley Cup this year. If Chytil is healthy and in shape, I think he makes the Rangers a lot better offensively. He’s already playing with different lines in practice and getting in playoff shape.

The NYR need to play better 5 on 5 or they don't have a chance. I watched how Florida beat TB. That is how the NYR must play against the Canes. They need to dump the puck, chase it, get it, pass it to the point and then crash the net with two players and a screen. Who are NYR Tkachuk and Barkov going to be? They need to figure this out quickly or they don't have a chance. Special Teams isn't going to cut it. It can't all be on Shesty. The D is also going to have to exit the zone efficiently, especially Trouba. He's been the weakest link on D at clearing the zone when he's pressured. We need Trouba more than anyone to step up his game. He has played notably better in the playoffs so far and he needs to continue to do so. He needs to lead on the ice, not just in the locker room. Andd, they can't give the Canes D any room to think, pass or shoot or it's over, they're too good. LGR!!!

this series will define the state of his franchise...they lose in 6 or less should mean that a rebuild happens. they lose in 7 or actually advance, then they need to go 'all-in' for 24/25
