I had to look up scansion too. It seems to describe looking along a line of verse to see how the syllables need stressing to make it flow, but English was never my best subject !

Solid Wordle solve, unlucky S-O-E trap. I played a filler to eliminate a lot of consonants and was left with a 50/50 which I lost: AROSE, CLINT, SPOKE, SMOKE. Excellent Connections. I got blue and yellow but was lost with green and puprple. Kitty Hawk is a beach town in North Carolina where the Wright Brothers from Dayton, Ohio flew the first airplane in 1903; except they were technically outside the town limits, in a place that would later become the town of Kill Devil Hills (which is almost completely flat except a small hill). Great Mini. 51 seconds for me. Good Strands. This was not easy. X-ray is not an acceptable word because it has a hyphen. Slow for me. I thought I learned enough poetry theory in college but I had never heard of SCANSION. But that was the only pronouncable word that could be made with the remaining letters. Ultra perfect solve though, starting with the spangram, no hints, no misclicks.

The purple has been way harder lately and the strands today was nearly impossible. I quit after three hints!

Had to take a hint for strands. It was "literally" a way for words... The Mini was a bit confusing but it worked at the end. Can never win in connections. 😔

Anyone else who could swear "Chewy" was spelled with a y when they played it? I guess they sometimes have to edit puzzles?

Please learn the proper pronunciation of EPEE for my sanity 😂 No one calls Boba Fett BOBA, familiarly, lol. But I still appreciated the Star Wars category. I was familiar with NIMBY, not in my back yard, but didn’t think of its opposite. My English MA came in handy for Strands :)
