Love the way you can spot that quad. I had to go: Center Pencil Mark Mad : and then it became more obvious. 35:19 for me. Pretty exciting to get a hard one done.

Never would have found/thought of the quad. I followed you for about half the puzzle (maybe a little more?) and then just pencilled the rest and was able to solve it on my own...but needed you for the beginning!!! Thanks! I learn SO much watching these!!!

Nice solve. Took me 33 minutes even though I found the quad and didn't get stuck. For some reason it felt like it took twice as many steps as usual to solve this one!

attempt 1: 78:36... it broke me and i needed to resort to bifurcation and desperate guessing attempt 2: 34:40... much better, but still slow going, and i still don't know what i missed :(

I think the hidden/naked quad _is_ a necessary step, and I had to pencil the entire puzzle before I spotted the naked quad :( Definitely one of the harder ones.

I spent forever on this and never spotted the quad! I only solved it after forcing chains. R9C1 was a 4 no matter what I did so that cracked it for me

I didn't finish this one. I took three hacks at it and missed the quad and that apparently quite helpful triple in box 3.

I found another solution with the same result (7.18), R8C2 have candidates 69, R8C3 = 89 You have a XY wing not used with R2C1 , R9C1 and R8C2, when you fill in R8C2 with a 9 then R8C3 is 8, R8C9 is 8, R7C4 is a 8 and in box 7 row 9 must have a 6 then R9C1 is 4, when you fill R8C2 with a 6 then R9C1 is also a 4
