This week’s Op-Doc is Matan Rochlitz’s powerful film “I Have a Message for You,” about a woman’s extraordinary journey of survival and redemption. It’s a remarkable piece, both for the creativity of its visual approach and for its unusual combination of tragedy, beauty and catharsis.

Well I was crying when her father said he was the happiest man knowing she jumped. It angers me soo much that so many murderers got away. I really hope there is some justice in afterlife, anything really. Knowing all this, seeing it in thousands of videos in so many European languages is depressing.

I feel like youtube will play a crucial role against forgetting. There are thousands of videos in many languages. I know one channel in German called " zeitzeugen-portal" which also devoted many thousands of videos to WWII. I think yt can fill the role of teaching history by showing tesemonials by eyewitnesses better than books in school in Germany or any other place. That way is much more real than some pages in a book. That channwel I mentioned I know it had only a few thousand subscribers a year ago and now its 49000 and growing. Not a lot of subscribers yet but a good start considering that many of them wil be Germans like I and it also means the viewcount of the videos is higher than the subscribers.

It hurts to think of her father waking up without his daughter in such a wretched situation, but the fact that he thought to give that message to a stranger who was likely to die in the hopes that she just might get it astounds me. It makes me think about my own father and the sacrifices he made for me every day, and I can’t put into words how sacred that is.

Tobias Forge Try to stop living in the past! Nazi is what and who Donald Trump's father was and you can see by his followers that they advocate for the Nazi element. We are now in an age of socialism and far right conservatism which verges on the extreme. We all possess vestiges of both and we must sort out the important and desirable to keep as a society for all. Hating and separation is divisive and dangerous to United States citizens.

I usually don't cry during sad movies or emotional scenes like the begging of Up or Mufasa's death because of the way I grew up. I've seen other survivor documentaries just as moving too, but I don't cry. Not that I try not to because I do get choked up, but I can't. Still, when the father's message and fate came to light, I weeped in a way I haven't since childhood. It felt good. They were happy tears. I feel fortunate to have stumbled on to this video. Thank you.

There is a reason that this woman was looking for her for over 20 years, that she never gave up. The message was meant to be given. After 20 years, she found her, out of 1000's of people she met/passed through the years. It was a blessed message. And it came through. And yes, it is ok not to believe in a god, but there is something out there much bigger than we can comprehend with our minds. Belief is a belief or a non belief, but it does not explain everything. There is a knowing around us, if we can quiet our minds/noise, we can tune in. Thank you for your message. A treasure.

The survival story of Clara and Phillipe is just unbelievably wonderous !! What a lovable couple they are !! Seeing Fillipe alive, was the best part in this video. The lady who met Clara and passed on to her, her late father's message, was an angel !! I hope, Clara stayed in touch with this lady, later on. Is there a book written by this couple? I would like to know their story in detail !! May God keep them united and happy for many more years !! A very well made documentary !!
