Nice video, Nytro have nice rods, but I still have so many Browning rods, some twice, that I will fish with them for the rest of my life. And I will stay true to my Ryobi roles. For me there was nothing better than Browning.

Thanks Den , this is the review i was looking for, cant be doing with wishy, washy rods and you showed perfectly, how much backbone was in it, regarding the butt section. its a nice looking slim rod also, so when angling direct have them in, (41 pounds, atm) i'll be looking to get two, for feeder fishing the Thames. All the best in OZ...keep the vidz coming m8...👍👍

Great choice of rod, Nytro are a up and coming tackle company. Myself I'm a owner and a great fan of the 10' Nytro commercial feeder rod and its been absolutely amazing, landed carp to 12lb and also it's great for silvers. Enjoy 👍👍👍👍👍

First of all thanks for the name checks. It’s a great rod at an amazing price and casts accurately. My mate has the 11ft so I’ve tried that too. With the 1oz top it’s ok for silvers if you take your time with them. They now make an Impax allrounder which is softer and more silvers orientated. That plastic needs to come off!
@FishingwithDen7 күн бұрын
Thanks for the info Paul. I've used this a few times since I made the video and your right, it is probably not quite right if I was going for silvers regularly. However, I will probably only use it for Roach half a dozen times in the next 5 years, so for some of the smaller ponds that I fish, I think will will work well for the Carp.

I own three Vertex carp feeders, 2 11ft and a 9ft one. I have tips from 1 Oz to 4 Oz. Brilliant. You should have purchased just extra tips down to 1oz.
@FishingwithDen7 күн бұрын
It is a thought, but by the time I had bought them and paid the horrendous postage costs, it was easier to buy this rod locally.

I agree it' a good choice for the money Den. But as the Title says 'silvers fish', to me, the rod is way to stiff. I use, specially in the winter, a max.30 gram rod with a 0.5 oz tip. Those rods are way softer and a pleasure to use for silvers. They cost about 150 pounds, that is still reasonable, i think🤔. But as you say 'it's not easy to get one where you live'. Thnx for the video.

No worries Paulus. Thanks for your comments mate.

Good rod for the money. I’ve got the 9ft version and it’s great for smaller carp and F1s but I think it’s a bit over gunned for silvers. Think you will get a few hook pulls when playing the roach. Nice to see some warm sun down under, everything is frozen here in Lancashire this morning.

Thanks Sean. You can keep the cold weather mate.😁😁👍👍

Hi Den nice looking rod. I take it that where you are in Ozz that the diver fish species like roach etc and also the Tench you sometime mention are all introduced species and not native fish. Keep up the great work you do.
@FishingwithDen7 күн бұрын
That's right Andrew. Any European species down here is introduced, including Trout.
@andrewsmith62757 күн бұрын
@ thanks for that Den. I thought that would be the case. I must admit to having hung my rods up for the winter as like you I suffer badly with arthritis and will have to wait until next spring to start again. Until then I’ll watch your videos in envy. On a different note all I use for ground bait is layers pellets mixed with a tin of liquefied sweetcorn and hemp damped with lake water the morning I get there. I got the idea of using layers pellets from watching your videos. I may try layers mash instead to cut down on the soaking time as from my research it has the same ingredients as the pellets. Is that something you’d consider instead of grinding your pellets?
@FishingwithDen6 күн бұрын
@@andrewsmith6275 Hi Andrew. There is no reason why you can't use layers mash instead of pellets mate. I do mix it with breadcrumbs though, as I find it gives the groundbait a better consistency.

Hi Den another great video you've done and I've watched a lot of yours and find it all very helpful. It's quite intriguing where your fishing. Just a couple of questions is fishing in Australia similar to in Ireland where most places are free with a rod license of course? Also isn't there possibly crocodiles in some of these waters ?
@FishingwithDen7 күн бұрын
Hi Martin. It is similar to Ireland in that you just need a rod licence. There are no day ticket venues and you can fish anywhere on public land, but most land is private, so you have to get permission from the owners. Where I live in new South Wales, there are no Crocodiles. They are about 1000km further North. We do however, get some Bull Sharks in the rivers around me, which are tidal.

Thank you den for your reply that's very interesting. Just for curiosity is there anything you miss in the uk. I know its not snow ! Me and my partner Melissa have been talking about it but at the moment I've recently had open heart surgery at 54 and Melissa's 51 so the NHS has been massively important to me recently and possibly in the future. Keep up den with the videos they really are a joy to watch.

@@martinhassall7884 No worries Martin. There's nothing much that I miss in the UK. So to be honest, I will never return. I love it down here in Australia and my kids are now citizens here, so I'm staying put.

For the silvers i catch that would be miles too pokey, i know they are good value for money though Den .
@FishingwithDen6 күн бұрын
Yes. I'm sure you're right Teddy. I am in something of a different situation down here because I will probably only be able to catch Roach a couple of times per year and even then it is likely to be on a massive reservoir. For many small commercials in the UK I'm sure a 9 or 10ft rod with a 0.50z tip is probably better suited.
