I really like Muldoons logic here, it simplifies the political game for aspiring politicians. 1. Do Homework on political issues. 2. Get clear in your mind your opinion. 3. SAY IT. 4. Have sharp replies and wit. I never knew this man as PM but he would have been a tactful and shrewd politician, pretty sure he got drunk and then announced a snap election which wasn't the brightest form of cognitive expression.

Good old Rob Muldoon brought about the Think Big Projects Marsden Oil Refinery Expansion in the early 1980s and all the Hydroelectric Power Generation in the South and North Island’s because he believed in New Zealand being self sufficient and safe guarding critical infrastructure.
