The 14th Commonwealth Games, in Auckland, actually took place from 24 January to 3 February 1990. While TV One (now TVNZ 1) covered the Commonwealth Games live, a full replay of the opening ceremony screened on Channel 2 (now TVNZ 2) at 8.20am on the morning of Sunday 25 February 1990. This was followed at 11am by live coverage from St Andrew's on The Terrace in Wellington of a church service and ceremony marking 150 years of the Presbyterian Church in New Zealand. 3:56 An episode of the US drama Tour of Duty, entitled "Non-Essential Personnel", screened on Channel 2 at 8.30pm on the evening of Thursday 22 February 1990 and was classified as an AO (Adults Only) programme. By accident, a G (General) classification was shown on screen.
